MG University Assistant Professor Contract Computer Science Recruitment 2025-26 Vacancy Details 

Eligibility Criteria

• Age: As per UGC Regulations regarding the appointment of Assistant Professors. Teachers who retired from Colleges/Universities will also be considered, subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall be 70 years as on 01/01/2026.
• Educational Qualification: As per UGC norms for Assistant Professor in Computer Science discipline (details to be interpreted strictly as per current UGC regulations; not elaborated in the notification).
• Reservation: The notified vacancy is reserved for LC/AI (Latin Catholic / Anglo Indian) community. Candidates under community reservation quota must produce community and Non-Creamy Layer certificates as per State Government criteria, except SC/ST candidates who are exempt from NCL requirement.
• Other Eligibility Conditions:
  • Natives of states other than Kerala need not apply for the post notified exclusively under the community reservation quota.
  • Degrees obtained from Universities/Institutions outside Kerala must be accompanied by equivalency/eligibility certificate from Mahatma Gandhi University.

Salary/Stipend

• Consolidated pay of ₹40,000/- per month for UGC qualified candidates appointed as Assistant Professor on Contract.
• In the absence of UGC qualified candidates, non-UGC candidates will be considered with a consolidated pay of ₹33,000/- per month.
• The engagement is purely on contract basis for the academic year 2025–2026 (till 15 April 2026).

Age Limit (as on 01-01-2026)

• Age shall be governed by UGC Regulations for appointment of Assistant Professors.
• Teachers retired from Colleges/Universities can be considered, provided the maximum age limit does not exceed 70 years as on 01/01/2026.

Selection Process

• Applications will be scrutinized based on eligibility as per UGC norms, reservation rules and completeness of supporting documents.

  • Educational qualifications (Mark lists and Degree Certificates) and specialization.

  • Proof for CGPA to percentage conversion.
