Applications are invited for the post of Consultant B (Coordinator) in the Desertification Cell, National Afforestation and Eco-Development Board, MoEF, New Delhi.

Eligibility Criteria
- Qualifications: Master's Degree in Science or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Technology. PhD holders in the relevant field will get preference.
- Essential qualifications: Applicant should be an Indian national. Fluency in communicating and writing reports in English is required.
- Experience: More than 5 years to 10 years work experience working with government and non-governmental organizations in India in the field of environment, sustainable development, natural resources management with good knowledge of UNCCD/UNFCCC/CBD.
Salary/Stipend
- Remuneration: ₹80,000/- per month.
- Annual Increment: Consultant shall be entitled 0% to 8% annual increase in their remuneration subject to recommendation/ satisfactory report by the Divisional Head.
- No allowances such as Dearness Allowance, Residential Accommodation, Medical Reimbursement etc. shall be provided.
Age Limit (as on 30-11-2025)
- The maximum age limit for Consultants shall be 65 years as on 30.11.2025.

Selection Process
- Selection will be through an Interview.
- The Ministry/Department reserves the right to call any number of applicants for interview based on essential and desirable qualification and experience.
- No TA/DA shall be admissible for the interview or joining the assignment.
General Information/Instructions
- The posts are temporary in nature and purely contractual.
- The initial tenure of engagement is up to three years (1+1+1), extendable for up to an additional two years subject to performance.
- Consultants are eligible for 1.5 days of paid leave for each completed month of service (maximum 18 days/year).
- Consultants will be subject to the Indian Official Secret Act, 1923.
- Selected candidates must provide an integrity certificate from 2 references and a self-undertaking of no criminal record.
