Selection Process
Selection of trainees will be based on the merit list of total marks (CGPA) obtained in their branch/trade
In case of equal marks, preference will be given to candidates with higher age
If required, selection will be made from the waiting list
Candidates can apply for only one trade
If not joined within the stipulated time, selection will be canceled

Candidate should not have been registered for apprenticeship in any establishment before and should not have worked in any institution for one year or more
Upon completion of training, MPPGCL will not be obliged to provide employment
Incomplete/erroneous or false information in the online application form may lead to cancellation of the application
Trainees will have to arrange their own accommodation. Company accommodation may be provided on availability basis at prescribed charges if vacant during the training period
Applicant must register on the Government of India's Apprenticeship Portal

Invitation (Offer Letter) to shortlisted applicants will be sent on the Apprenticeship Portal https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in/ on their apprentice profile and any correspondence will be done on their email ID only
Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD will be as per the provisions of the Apprenticeship Act
Gandhisagar Hydropower House (MPPGCL) Gandhisagar reserves the right to cancel the selection of any trainee if proper reason is found
Applicant must be an original resident of Madhya Pradesh. Residents of Mandsaur, Neemuch, Ratlam, Agar, Ujjain districts will be given priority. Thereafter, vacant seats will be filled from candidates of other districts
Selected apprentice trainees must have accident-related insurance (1 year), and a copy of the policy must be provided to the office
Registration on the government portal, insurance policy, medical certificate and photocopy of Aadhaar card, contract on Rs. 1000 stamp paper etc. must be provided to the office

Reservation and age relaxation will be as per the Reservation Rules 2019 (as amended) and state government rules
If candidates from SC/ST category are not available in the prescribed number, the vacancies of that category will be interchanged. Thereafter, if still vacant, they can be filled from other categories
The number of vacancies is final and may change during review. As a result, the number of reserved posts for different categories/classes may also be revised
Apprenticeship training period will be one year
For ITI candidates, the application process is under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) and only candidates who have passed ITI in the last 5 years are eligible to apply
To ensure invitation, applications received as per the advertisement will be screened. Thereafter, selection will be made on the basis of percentage of marks in CGPA (average of semesters) obtained in ITI for ITI Apprenticeship in the merit list by Gandhisagar Hydropower House (MPPGCL) Gandhisagar
No other allowances/benefits will be eligible besides the stipend
Selected candidates must submit a Certificate of Medical Fitness issued by an authorized medical officer of any government health center/community health center/district hospital at the time of joining
Disabled candidates must submit a disability certificate in the proper format issued by the authorized officer or district medical board. Reservation benefit will be given only if disability is 40% or more. Reservation for disabled in trades other than risky trades will be given as per state government rules
ITI passed candidates under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) for apprentices who have passed ITI in the last 5 years are eligible to apply
Online applications can be filled through the government website https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in/ till midnight 11:59 PM on 20 January 2026. Applications received thereafter will not be accepted
Candidates please ensure that they are eligible for apprenticeship training and all information provided by them is correct
If during the selection process it is found at any time that the candidate does not fulfill the prescribed qualifications and does not meet our requirements or has concealed any information, their candidature will be canceled and strict action like termination of training may be taken
SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWD candidates please fill their category carefully as no information filled by them will be changed under any circumstances later

Candidates will be bound to follow all rules and regulations made by Gandhisagar Hydropower House (MPPGCL) Gandhisagar for selection and to be made in the future
During the apprenticeship period, candidates will be eligible for 13 days casual leave and 10 days medical leave and weekly holidays
In case of selection of trainees, they must submit a "Character Certificate" issued by the police station of their residence
In case of accident, Workmen's Compensation Act 1923 will apply

In case of non-selection, no correspondence or inquiry by candidates will be accepted
Candidates note that as per Section 22 (1) of the Apprenticeship Act 1961, this advertisement is for apprenticeship training, not for job or employment. After training, Gandhisagar Hydropower House (MPPGCL) Gandhisagar will not be obliged to provide employment to any candidate nor will any consideration be given in this regard

For ITI candidates application process - Before applying, candidate's registration on the Apprenticeship Portal https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in/ is mandatory, if the candidate has not registered, they can register as per the following process
First, on the website of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in/ click on Apprentices → Candidate Registration in the Toolbar
You will see the link http://apprenticeshipindia.org/register/candidate, clicking on it will open a new page
Click on Register button in Toolbar. Select "Register as Candidate" option
In Personal Details Section, enter Aadhaar number, category (General/OBC/SC/ST) name, father/mother's name, date of birth, gender
In Contact Details section, enter your full address, mobile number and E-mail ID and password. Use this E-mail ID and password to login to the Apprenticeship Portal
In Qualification section, enter your technical and academic qualification information and upload related certificates
In Preference section, select your preference for sector/trade for apprenticeship training
In the fourth stage, upload your photo, date of birth certificate and scanned signature and click on Continue
On the final page, you will get a preview of the information filled by you. You can change the information by clicking on Edit button, if all information is correct, complete the registration process by clicking on Confirm button
After completing Candidate Registration process, you can login to the Apprenticeship Portal using the E-mail ID and password given in your Contact Detail
After candidate registration, go to “Establishment Search” and select Gandhisagar Hydropower House (MPPGCL) Gandhisagar option and apply according to eligibility in the vacancies shown in the institute's advertisement
