Department-wise Vacancies

• (d) Autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness
• (e) Multiple disabilities from amongst persons under clauses (a) to (d) including deaf-blindness, in the posts identified for each disability

EWS posts are not carried forward or treated as backlog vacancy if unfilled. Candidates of other categories may therefore apply provisionally, and are considered as UR candidates only if the EWS seat is otherwise not filled.

Qualification and Experience

Persons possessing qualifications included in Part II of the 3rd Schedule must also fulfil the conditions specified in section 13(B) of the Act. The notice does not print an experience requirement. Candidates should check the official notification for any discipline-specific eligibility.

Age Limit

The age limit is 30 years, counted as on 18 November 2026, the last date for submitting applications (the notice uses this date to determine age, educational qualification and experience). Age is relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (Non-creamy layer) candidates, in respect of vacancies reserved for them. Age relaxation for physically handicapped candidates is as per Govt. of India norms.

Pay and Terms

• Pay: Level 10 of Pay Matrix with entry pay of Rs.56,100/- plus NPA and other allowances as admissible under rules.
• Accommodation: subject to availability, Resident Doctors are provided accommodation in the RMO Hostel.
• HRA: if no accommodation can be provided, HRA admissible as per rules is paid.
• Reservation and age relaxation are provided as per Govt. of India norms; EWS reservation follows the Office Memorandum No. 36039/1/2019-(Estt (Res) dated 19 January 2019 and 31 January 2019.

Applications are sent by email. Eligible candidates submit the prescribed proforma at Annexure-I, together with scanned copies of the self attested certificates listed below, to [email protected] by 18 November 2026, up to 5:30 p.m.

1. Fill the prescribed proforma at Annexure-I.
2. Add scanned copies of the self attested certificates named in the notice.
3. EWS candidates attach the certificate issued by the competent authority in the form prescribed at Annexure-II.
4. OBC (NCL) candidates produce the latest OBC (NCL) certificate issued by the Competent Authority during the current financial year, 1.4.2026 to 31.3.2027.
5. Email the application to [email protected] so that it is sent by 18 November 2026, 5:30 p.m.

Screening and Interview

The documents submitted are screened before the interview, and only eligible candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria are allowed to appear in the interview. The date of the interview will be published on the Institute's website. Candidates bring the original documents to the Institute at the time of interview. Candidates with disabilities produce the original physically handicapped certificate, with degree of disability, issued by the Competent Authority (a Medical Board duly constituted by the Central or State Govt.).

• Certificate of EWS/SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) from the competent authority, if applicable
• MBBS passed certificate
• MBBS marksheets
• MBBS attempt certificate
• MBBS internship completion certificate
• Medical registration certificate for MBBS
• NOC from the present employer (if employed)
• MCI/NMC eligibility certificate for candidates passing from foreign medical institutions
• Result of the screening test for Indian nationals with foreign medical qualifications, issued by the National Board of Examinations

All certificates are scanned copies that are self attested.

Important Instructions

• Applicants employed under the State or Central Govt. or a PSU/Autonomous body must produce an NOC from the competent authority; without it they will not be allowed to appear for interview under any circumstances.
• Candidates who completed the 1 (one) year tenure as Junior Resident (house job) in State or Central Govt. or PSU/Autonomous bodies will not be allowed to appear in the interview under any circumstances.
• Candidates sponsored by the Govt. of Meghalaya for the MBBS programme must produce an NOC from the Govt. of Meghalaya prior to joining the post, if selected.
• Candidates sponsored by their state governments for MBBS who are required to undergo compulsory rural posting, if any, must submit the certificate of completion of rural posting.
• The disability certificate should be issued by a duly constituted and authorised Medical Board of a State or Central Government Hospital/Institution, countersigned by the Medical Superintendent/CMO/Head of Hospital/Institution, and the Board must conform to guidelines of the Ministry of Social Welfare and Empowerment (Govt. of India).
• Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate.
• Candidates who do not fulfil any one of the eligibility conditions will not be allowed to appear in the interview.
• The Institute reserves the right to reject or accept any candidature without assigning any reason, and its decision on eligibility is final.
