Eligibility Criteria
- Essential qualifications: Ph.D in Ocean Sciences or relevant allied subjects preferably with experience in the field of Physical/Chemical Oceanography OR M. Tech (Ocean Technology) with 3 years of post qualification research or teaching experience in the field of Physical/Chemical Oceanography having at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
Salary/Stipend
- Rs. 54,000/- + House Rent Allowance as admissible under the rules

- Maximum Age: 35 years
- The upper age limit shall be relaxable to the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and OBC as per Government of India norms.

Selection Process
- Candidates shortlisted by a Screening Committee will be called for a personal interview at NPOL, Kochi subsequently and they shall be required to produce certificates/testimonials/community certificate etc. in original at the time of interview.

- Only candidates possessing the above mentioned qualification(s) need apply. All the qualifications acquired should be from recognized Universities/Institutions. Candidates working in Government/Public sector undertaking/ autonomous bodies should apply through proper channel. Director, NPOL reserves the right not to select any candidate, if suitable candidates are not available. The decision of Director, NPOL as to educational qualification prescribed, its equivalence and relevance to the Laboratory shall be final.
- It may be noted that offer of Fellowship does not confer on Fellows any right for absorption in DRDO.

The hard copy of signed Application Form along with self attested copies of certificates in support of requisite educational qualifications, age, reservation status etc should be sent by post to "The Director, Naval Physical and Oceanographic Laboratory, Thrikkakara P.O., Kochi - 682 021" before the closing date. The envelope should be superscribed "Application for RA". Incomplete applications are liable to be rejected.
