Eligibility Criteria

• Warden (Male): Educational qualification – B.A. / B.Sc. from recognised university; experience – at least two years in hostel management.
• Warden (Male): Age – 30 to 60 years as on the date of advertisement; retired teachers willing and physically & mentally sound within the age limit of 62 years as on the date of engagement may apply.
• Warden (Male): Must be male for Boys’ hostel; must be in position to stay in the hostel 24×7; preference to local candidates from the block area, then adjacent blocks of Mayurbhanj district.
• Chowkidar-cum-Sweeper (Male): Educational qualification – must have passed HSC Examination from recognised board.
• Chowkidar-cum-Sweeper (Male): Age – 21 to 32 years as on the date of advertisement; only male candidates can apply; preference to local candidates from block area, then adjacent blocks of Mayurbhanj district.
• Head Cook (Male): Age – 30 to 40 years as on the date of advertisement; male for Boys’ hostel; must be in position to stay in the hostel 24×7.
• Head Cook (Male): Must be well conversant to use LPG; must have perfect hygienic dresses while cooking and good cooking habits; preference and due weightage to individuals trained in cookery; ability to cook any dishes on time with due care towards hygiene and deliciousness.
• Assistant Cook (Male): Age – 21 to 32 years as on the date of advertisement; male for Boys’ hostel; must be in position to stay in the hostel 24×7.
• Assistant Cook (Male): Must be well conversant to use LPG; must have perfect hygienic dresses while cooking and good cooking habits; preference and due weightage to individuals trained in cookery; ability to cook any dishes on time with due care towards hygiene and deliciousness.

Salary/Stipend

• Warden (Male): Remuneration – Rs 21,175/- per month (including EPF share of Employee & Employer).
• Chowkidar-cum-Sweeper (Male): Remuneration – Rs 7,500/- per month (including EPF share of Employee & Employer).
• Head Cook (Male): Remuneration – Rs 9,000/- per month (including EPF share of Employee & Employer).
• Assistant Cook (Male): Remuneration – Rs 6,750/- per month (including EPF share of Employee & Employer).

Age Limit (as on 03-01-2026)

• Warden (Male): 30 to 60 years as on the date of advertisement; retired teachers may apply within age limit of 62 years as on the date of engagement.
• Chowkidar-cum-Sweeper (Male): 21 to 32 years as on the date of advertisement.
• Head Cook (Male): 30 to 40 years as on the date of advertisement.
• Assistant Cook (Male): 21 to 32 years as on the date of advertisement.

Important Dates

Selection Process

• Preference shall be given to local candidates; if candidates are not available in that locality, then block will be taken as a unit.
• If still candidates are not available, then candidates from nearby blocks may be selected for the purpose.
• No candidates outside of the district should be recruited against the posts stated above.
• Engagement is subject to satisfactory performance; fresh engagement shall be made after one year period of engagement with at least one working day gap.

General Information/Instructions

• Advertisement is for engagement of support staff for Boys’ Hostel at Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya, Pasna, Jamda, Mayurbhanj.
• Applications are invited from prospective candidates in the prescribed proforma through Speed Post only.
• On expiry of one year period of engagement, fresh engagement shall be made with a gap of at least one working day based on satisfactory performance of the employee.
• The authority reserves the right to cancel the advertisement either partly or fully and any application or applications without assigning any reason thereof.
• The authority will not be responsible for any postal delay.
