SPU Warden Recruitment 2026 – Walkin

Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar will hold a walk-in interview on 26 November 2026 (Thursday) from 11:30 am at the Office of the Vice Chancellor (VC Office, S.P. University Main Office Building), Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar – 388 120. The interview is for 2 posts of Warden for the university's Boys Hostels, on a purely temporary basis, with a fixed remuneration of Rs. 20,000 per month. Candidates come to the interview with the prescribed application form, their documents and a Demand Draft for the fee (advertisement No. B/SF/5354, dated 06/11/2026).

Sardar Patel University is a university at Vallabh Vidyanagar in Anand district, Gujarat; its notice states that it is NAAC accredited with Grade 'A' (10-01-2023 to 09-01-2028). Educational Qualification

A candidate shall possess a Bachelor Degree in any Stream from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or State Act in India; or any other educational institution recognized as such or declared as deemed to be a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government.

Essential Requirements

• Proficiency in managing records, documentation and use of email/MS Office/Google Workspace.
• It is mandatory to stay in university campus.

Desirable

• Experience of managing residential campus hostels.
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to handle young adult learners with empathy and firmness.
• Trained in conflict resolution, student counselling or wellness facilitation.

Age Limit

Minimum 25 years and maximum 58 years, as on the last date of application submission. The notice does not mention any age relaxation.

Pay and Terms

Accommodation facility is provided in the campus with nominal charges. The post is purely on temporary basis for 11 months or as per requirement from time to time, whichever is earlier. The application form describes the post as Ad-hoc/Contractual for 2026-2027.

Application Fee

The fee is paid by Demand Draft in favour of "Registrar, Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar" and is non-refundable. The DD is brought along with the application form on the interview day.

How to Apply

1. Take the prescribed application form for Warden for the Boys Hostel, given with the notice and on the university website www.spuvvn.edu/careers/.
2. Type the form neatly in Microsoft Word using Arial Unicode font of size 11; if a column does not apply, write "Not Applicable", and increase rows or columns if the space is insufficient.
3. Affix the latest 3.5 cm x 3.5 cm photograph on the form.
4. Attach self-attested copies of certificates supporting qualifications, experience, age and all other claims, in the sequence set in the form, with page numbering.
5. Fill the address slip page with your full name and postal address with PIN code.
6. If you are already employed, forward the application through proper channel, with the "No Objection" declaration in the form signed by your employer.
7. Bring the hard copy of the form, the Demand Draft and the documents to the VC Office, S.P. University Main Office Building on 26 November 2026 at 11:30 am.

What to Bring

• Hard copy of the typed application form with the photograph affixed.
• Demand Draft of Rs. 250/- (S.C./S.T.) or Rs. 300/- (other candidates).
• Original and photocopies of marksheets, a passport size photograph and other certificates, if any.
• Address slip on one separate page.
• Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (showing the date of birth).
• S.S.C. / H.S.C. marksheets; graduation marksheets and degree certificate; postgraduate, B.Ed./M.Ed. and other qualification certificates where held.
• PAN Card, Aadhaar Card and Election Card.
• Testimonials / experience certificates.
• SC/ST certificate if applicable; the form also asks SEBC candidates for a caste validity and non-creamy-layer certificate, and married candidates for a marriage certificate.

Important Instructions

• Incomplete application shall be summarily rejected.
• Documents must be attached in the sequence mentioned in the application form.
• Candidates have to attend the interview at their own cost.
• No correspondence and phone inquiry will be entertained about the advertisement, interview, selection or appointment.
• The University reserves the right not to fill up any of the vacancies, to reject any application and to alter the number of posts without assigning any reason.
• The selected applicant has to join the concerned hostel within 07 days; otherwise the appointment order will be treated as cancelled and the next waiting-listed applicant will be given appointment.
• The form contains a declaration that false or concealed information leads to disqualification, or termination without notice or compensation if appointed.
