Selection Process
Selection will be made based on the Marks scored in NCTVT (NAC) and Trade Test / Practical Test only, in the order of Merit.
- Priority & Preference Order:
- First Preference: AOCP Trade apprentices of Ordnance Factories and AOCP Trade apprentices from Government/Private Organizations having Government affiliation.
- Second Preference: Feeder trade candidates (IMCP, MMCP, PPO, Fitter, Machinist, Turner, etc.) who have experience of working as DBW/CPW on tenure basis and possess certificate of 03 months training (1 month extensive in-house training w.r.t. Safe Handling of explosives, ammunitions, safety norms, Do’s & Don’ts + 2 months On-Job training) from any MIL group of Ordnance Factories.
- Third Preference: Feeder trade candidates (IMCP, MMCP, PPO, Fitter, Machinist, Turner, etc.) from Ordnance Factories / Government/Private Organizations having Government affiliation but without 03 months training certificate.
- Merit List Preparation:
- Weightage: 80% NCTVT (NAC) Exam + 20% Trade Test / Practical Test.
- Cut-off percentage for calling candidates for Trade Test will be decided by Ordnance Factory Khamaria based on NAC marks.
- Merit list prepared category-wise / discipline-wise.
- Document Verification: Candidates qualifying in NCTVT (NAC) + Trade Test will be called for Document Verification in order of merit. Number of candidates called will be limited to the number of posts notified. Additional candidates will be called in case of rejections.
- Tie Resolution (in this order):
- Ex-Trade Apprentice of AOCP Trade.
- Ex-Trade Apprentice of Ordnance Factories.
- Higher marks in NAC issued from NCVT.
- Date of Birth (elder candidate preferred).
Note: After selection, AOCP candidates (non-Ordance Factory apprentices) and all feeder trade candidates will undergo compulsory 1 month extensive in-house training (and additional 2 months On-Job training for feeder trades) on safe handling of explosives before deployment.
How to Apply
Application Mode: Offline only
Steps to Apply:
- Download the Application Form from the official website.
- Fill the application form in BLOCK LETTERS only.
- Affix one recent passport-size photograph (self-attested) on the form.
- Attach self-attested copies of all required documents (see checklist in the notification).
- Put two extra photographs (self-attested on the back with Name & Date of Birth).
- Place the filled application and enclosures in an envelope superscribed as: “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF TENURE BASED DBW PERSONNEL ON CONTRACT BASIS”
- Send the application by post only to the address given below.

General Instructions
- Candidates must read the full notification carefully before applying.
- Mere submission of application does not guarantee issue of call letter for Trade Test.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be informed through e-mail for Trade Test / Practical Test.
- Self-attested copies of all educational, NAC, caste, experience certificates etc. must be enclosed.
- Submission of false / incorrect / incomplete information or bogus documents will lead to disqualification.
- Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
- No correspondence / enquiry through phone or messenger will be entertained.
- Ordnance Factory Khamaria will not be responsible for any postal delay or non-receipt of application / call letters.
- E-mail ID and mobile number must be kept active till completion of the entire recruitment process.
- SC/ST candidates appearing for Document Verification will be paid 2nd class TA (on production of tickets & caste certificate). SC/ST candidates appearing for Trade Test will travel at their own expense.
- The engagement is purely on contract basis initially for 1 year, extendable up to maximum 4 years based on requirement and performance.
- This engagement does not confer any right for regular absorption in the factory.
- Performance will be evaluated half-yearly / annually. Poor performance may lead to termination after 3 months’ notice period.
- Personnel will be entitled to EPF, Bonus (if applicable), Risk Allowance, Night Duty Allowance (as per rules), 30 days leave per year, 1 Casual Leave per month etc.
- They will not be entitled to OT Allowance, LTC, Medical facilities (except emergency), promotions, loans, school fee reimbursement, study leave etc.
- The employment can be terminated by either party by giving one month’s notice or payment in lieu thereof.
- Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of courts / tribunals in Jabalpur only.
- The Competent Authority reserves the right to cancel / modify the recruitment process without assigning any reason.
