How to Check RRB ALP Exam City and Download the E-Call Letter

1. Open the official website of the RRB you applied to (the list is given under Important Links below).
2. Find the link for CEN 01/2026 Assistant Loco Pilot exam city and date.
3. Log in with your candidate credentials. Keep your Registration Number handy, as the CEN advises candidates to note it for later stages. The notice does not list the exact login fields.
4. Check your exam city and date. SC/ST candidates who opted for free travel can download the Travel Authority here.
5. About 4 days before your exam date, return to the same website and download the e-call letter.
6. Print the e-call letter. RRBs do not send call letters by post.

Important Instructions for the RRB ALP Exam

• Aadhaar biometric authentication: Aadhaar-linked biometric authentication will be done at the exam centre before entry to the exam hall.
• Verify Aadhaar in advance: candidates who have not authenticated their identity through Aadhaar should do so by logging in at www.rrbapply.gov.in, so that entry to the centre is smooth.
• Keep Aadhaar unlocked: even candidates who verified Aadhaar during the application should make sure it remains unlocked in the UIDAI system before the exam day.
• Update Aadhaar details: the Aadhaar card should show the correct name, date of birth (as per the Class 10 certificate), latest photograph, address and father's name.
• No change of centre, date or shift: the CEN does not allow any request to change the exam date, centre or shift. Candidates may have to travel to another city or state.
• Banned items: mobile phones, watches, earphones, Bluetooth devices, calculators, books, papers, bags, wallets, water bottles, food items and similar articles are not allowed inside the centre. A cloak room may not be available, so avoid carrying valuables.
• Avoid henna: applying henna on hands or feet can obstruct biometric capture.
• Self-declaration: candidates must write the self-declaration paragraph, sign it and affix the left thumb impression on the e-call letter at the exam hall, in front of the invigilator. Writing it in advance or signing in capital letters leads to rejection.
• Trust only official sources: refer only to the official RRB websites for updates. RRBs do not appoint agents or coaching centres, and selection is based on merit in the CBT stages.

Documents to Carry on the Exam Day

• Printed e-call letter
• Original Aadhaar card or a printout of e-verified Aadhaar, as asked in the notice
• Original photo ID as instructed on the e-call letter (the CEN lists ID types such as Voter ID, Aadhaar, driving licence, PAN card and passport)
• A recent colour passport-size photograph, not older than two months from the exam date
• For SC/ST candidates travelling on the free travel facility: the original community certificate and an original photo ID during the journey, and a self-attested photocopy of the e-call letter and SC/ST certificate while booking the ticket
