Eligibility Criteria
Essential qualifications:
- M Sc (Computer Science) / (IT) / MCA from recognised institution with at least 50% marks OR M.E. or B.Tech (Computer Science) / IT from recognised institution with at least 50% marks AND B Ed Degree from NCTE recognised institution with at least 50% marks OR
- Three year Integrated B. Ed - M Ed from NCTE recognised institution with at least 50% marks OR Four year Integrated Degree with at least 50% marks from NCTE recognised institution including B Ed Component.
- Five years integrated degree course from NCTE recognised institution/ University with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject as well as in the aggregate including B Ed component OR Bachelor of Honours Degree from a recognised university with at least 50% marks in concerned subject, combination of subjects and also in aggregate.
- B Ed Degree from NCTE recognised institution/University with at least 50% marks OR three year integrated B Ed. M Ed from NCTE recognised institution/University with at least 50% marks. Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-2 (for Classes VI to VIII) conducted by CBSE / Pass in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for Classes VI to VIII) conducted by State recognised by appropriate Government in accordance with the guidelines issued by NCTE for the purpose. The candidate must have passed Class X standard in Odia in Indian Language (ML) Odia. OR
- The candidate not having Odia as a subject up to Class X standard must have qualified at the Single Subject Odia Examination up to High School standard conducted by Board of Secondary Education, Cuttack, Odisha. Odia as an Honours/Arts Elective/Honours/Special Subject at Graduation level with at least 50% marks from any recognised University. B Ed with 50% marks in aggregate from recognised university/NCTE recognised institution.
- Pass in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) Paper-2 (Paper-1 to teach up to middle class) conducted by the appropriate Government in accordance with the guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose. Graduate/Post Graduate in Psychology or Post Graduate in Child Development or Graduation/Graduate with Diploma in Career Guidance and Counselling. Intermediate Science or equivalent in the subject (Physics). Intermediate 12th OR Regular course qualified. Experience as Horse Riding Instructor in a School/College Horse Riding Club.
- Bachelor Degree in Physical Education from a recognized University / Institution OR Diploma in Physical Education from a recognized University/ Institution (included that the admission qualification for the diploma is at least University Degree). MBBS degree.
Desirable:
- Higher percentage of marks in higher qualification and experience of working in English Medium Residential Public Schools shall be considered for award of higher basic pay. Achievements in NCC / Sports / Co-curricular activities.
- Higher percentage of marks / higher qualification and experience of working in English Medium residential public Schools shall be considered for award of prescribed weightage. Achievements in NCC / Sports / Co-curricular activities, etc. Knowledge of Computer Applications.

- Experience as Horse Riding Instructor in a School/College Horse Riding Club.
Salary/Stipend
- PGT (Computer Science) (Regular): Entry Pay: Rs. 47,500/- in the Level 8 of the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC recommendations.
- TGT (Mathematics) (Contractual): Rs. 26,500/- consolidated pay per month.
- TGT-Odia (Contractual): Rs. 26,500/- consolidated pay per month.
- Counsellor (Contractual): Rs. 26,500/- consolidated pay per month.
- Laboratory Assistant (Physics) (Contractual): Rs. 40,000/- consolidated pay per month.
- Horse Riding Instructor (Contractual): Rs. 40,000/- consolidated pay per month.

Selection Process
- Written Test, Skill Test and Interview. The candidates securing minimum essential marks and shortlisted in the written test will only be permitted to take part in further selection process.
General Information/Instructions
- The contractual posts will be for a period of one year. However, the contract period can be curtailed by the School due to administrative / policy reasons. The School is not liable to pay any compensation in case of curtailment of the contract period.
- The School administration reserves the right to cancel all or any vacancy due to non-availability of suitable candidates or due to administrative / policy reasons.
- Candidates are to mention their own valid and functional email id, correspondence address and mobile number clearly in the application form.
- No TA/DA is admissible for attending selection tests.

- Rent free accommodation as available in the School for all posts. Free food during School session (not for Medical Officer). In addition to the pay, the Regular Post (Computer Science) is entitled to the benefits of DA, Transport Allowance, Medical Allowance, LTC, NPS, subsidized education for two children, Death-cum-Residence Gratuity, Leave Encashment, etc. as per the Sainik Schools Society Rules and Regulations in vogue and as amended from time to time.
- He/she is required to reside within the limits of Bhubaneswar. He/she must attend the School infirmary on a daily basis for at least 3 hours, preferably in the morning. He/she must be available on telephone so that he/she response can be availed in case of an emergency.
