How to Download the OMR Sheet
Candidates who appeared for the written examination can download their OMR sheet by following these steps:
- Visit the official Surat Municipal Corporation website.
- Go to the RECRUITMENT section.
- Click on ANSWER KEY(S).
- Enter your application number as shown on your exam call letter, in the format AAAA/BBBBBB/CCC/DDDDDD.
- Enter your seat number (bench number) and date of birth.
- Download your OMR sheet on or before 30/09/2026.

How to Raise a Query or Objection on the Provisional Answer Key
SMC has published the provisional answer key for the written examination along with this notice. Candidates who disagree with any answer in the provisional key can raise a query/objection by following the process below.
- Download the "Query Reporting Form for Provisional Answer Key" issued along with this notice.
- Fill in all required details in the form, including candidate seat number, post name, question paper set (A/B/C/D), question number, the question, the options, the key uploaded on the website, and the key suggested by the candidate, along with a remark or reference supporting the suggested answer.
- Attach a valid, colour scanned, self-signed copy of documentary evidence supporting the objection.
- Attach a copy of the exam call letter and a photo ID proof (Aadhaar Card, Voter's ID, Driving License, etc.).
- Scan the completed form along with the supporting documents.
- Email the scanned documents to [email protected] between 24/09/2026 and 28/09/2026.
SMC Provisional Answer Key 2026 - Important Instructions
- Only candidates who actually appeared in the written examination held on 20/09/2026 need to download the OMR sheet.
- The OMR sheet must be downloaded on or before 30/09/2026; it cannot be downloaded after this date.
- Queries/objections on the provisional answer key must reach the Recruitment Department on or before 28/09/2026. Queries received after the deadline will not be considered.
- Every query must be supported by valid documentary evidence in the prescribed format.
- SMC will not entertain any representation from candidates on the question paper other than queries/objections related to the provisional answer key.
