Eligibility Criteria for Southern Railway Senior Resident 2025
1. Educational Qualification
Post Graduate Degree / DM / DNB or Diploma in the concerned speciality from university recognized by State/Central Government.
If PG candidates are not available → MBBS + minimum 3 years experience (including 1 year Junior Residency in Govt/MCI-recognized hospital) in the concerned speciality will be considered (maximum 3 years total Senior Residency).
2. Age Limit
- 33 years for Post Graduate qualification
- 35 years for Post-Doctoral Degree holders
- Relaxation up to 40 years only if no candidate within 33/35 years applies
- 5 years relaxation for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC
Selection Process for Southern Railway Senior Resident 2025
Selection will be through Personal Interview only.
Salary/Stipend
- 1st year : ₹67,700 + 20% NPA
- 2nd year : ₹69,700 + 20% NPA
- 3rd year : ₹71,800 + 20% NPA
- Additional allowances: DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, Book Allowance ₹1,500 per annum, Free unfurnished accommodation (subject to availability)
