Educational Qualifications
- Must have passed Plus-two Examination
- Must possess certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology Course (one year duration course) undergone in any institution recognized by the Director of Medical Education
- Must have a good physique, good vision and capacity to do outdoor work
Essential Qualifications
- Plus-two Examination certificate

- Physical fitness certificate with good vision
Desirable Qualifications
- Tamil language qualification (SSLC/HSC with Tamil or Second Class Language Test in Tamil)

Selection Process
- Selection will be made based on marks scored by candidates in their academic and technical qualifications
- There will be NO oral test (Interview) for this post
- Weightage for marks distribution:
- Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology Course (CMLT - One year): 50%
- HSC/PUC: 30%
- SSLC/10th: 20%
- Selection follows rules of reservation and communal rotation issued by Government of Tamil Nadu
- Merit-based selection with reservation benefits as applicable
- Note: In case marks are not specifically awarded for any batch of CMLT (one year) course, selection will be based only on SSLC and HSC/PUC examination marks
General Information/Instructions
- Applications are invited only through ONLINE MODE
- Candidates must apply only through MRB's official website: www.mrb.tn.gov.in
- Valid email ID and mobile number are mandatory for registration
- Scanned colour photograph and signature must be uploaded as per specifications
- All certificates/documents must be uploaded at the time of online application submission
- Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected after due process
- Candidates should verify their eligibility before submitting online application
- No physical copies of certificates or printed application to be sent to MRB
- All communications will be sent only through registered email ID and mobile number
- Candidates provisionally selected will be required to produce certificate of physical fitness including vision certificate
- Selected candidates must join duty within stipulated time - no extension will be granted
- After joining, candidates cannot undergo any course within 2 years (excluding leave period)
- Candidates under contractual obligation must produce No Objection Certificate from appointing authority
- The number of vacancies is indicative and liable for change before finalization of selection
- Reservation: 4% for Differently Abled, 5% for Ex-Servicemen, 20% for PSTM, 30% for Women (with 10% for Destitute Widows within women quota)
- Differently Abled categories identified: HI & HH, DF, LC, AC (all with good mobility, physique and vision), MD among the above
