The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the provisional answer key for the Combined Medical Services (CMS) Examination 2026 on 5 August 2026, four days after the exam was held on 2 August 2026. Separate PDFs have been uploaded for Paper I (General Medicine and Paediatrics) and Paper II (Surgery, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, and Preventive & Social Medicine). Candidates who appeared for UPSC CMS 2026 can download both keys from upsc.gov.in and raise objections within the official representation window, if any.

UPSC CMS 2026 Marking Scheme
Each question has four alternative answers.
One-third (0.33) of the marks assigned to a question is deducted for a wrong answer.
Marking more than one answer to a question is treated as a wrong answer, even if one of the marked options is correct the same penalty applies.
A question left blank/unattempted carries no penalty.
