1. Sub Inspector (SI): 137 Posts
2. Lady Sub Inspector: 15 Posts
3. Sergeant: 684 Posts

Age Limit: Candidates age is not below 20 years and not above 27 years as on 01/01/2012.i.e candidates born not earlier than 02/01/1985 and not later than 01/01/1992.

Educational Qualification: Any Degree from a recognized university. Ability to read, write and speak in Bengali.

Application Fee: Candidates must deposit a fee of Rs-150/- in the form of A/c payee Demand Draft from any Nationalized Bank or IPO in favour of Kolkata Police Recruitment Board (KPRB), payable at Kolkata. Candidates belonging to SC/ST category of West Bengal only are not required to pay any fee.

Selection Process: The selection procedure will consists of three successive stages Physical Measurement Test, Written Examination, and Personality Test

How to Apply: Applications should be made in the prescribed format typed/printed on foolscap size paper along with four recent passport size photographs, one is pasted on application form and three are enclosed with application form. Selection Process: Selection is based on Physical Measurement Test, Physical Efficiency Test & Interview which will consists of Driving Test, Mechanical Test, Reading & Written Test, General Knowledge, Medical Examination.
