AIIMS Rajkot Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 Vacancy Details 

Eligibility Criteria

• Upper age limit 45 years as on 12/01/2026 (last date of application); relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC and up to 10/13/15 years for PwBD (UR/OBC/SC-ST) as per Government of India rules.
• Candidates must possess required postgraduate qualification (MD/MS/DNB/MCh/DM or relevant M.Sc with Ph.D) in the concerned specialty from a recognized University/Institute by 31/01/2026, with results declared on or before that date.
• Candidates who have appeared for exam/viva voce but whose results are awaited may be allowed to appear provisionally; if result is declared after 31/01/2026, their candidature will be cancelled.
• In-service candidates in any Government Institution must produce No Objection Certificate at the time of interview; absence of NOC will disqualify them from interview.
• Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD is applicable as per Government of India policy; AIIMS Rajkot follows 4% horizontal reservation for PwBD.
• OBC-NCL candidates must produce valid OBC-NCL certificate issued in latest financial year 2025-26 as per Central List; otherwise they will be treated as UR.
• EWS candidates must produce valid Income and Asset Certificate as per DoPT OM dated 31/01/2019, issued for the relevant financial year.

Salary/Stipend

• Senior Resident (Medical) will receive pay as per Level 11 of the 7th CPC pay matrix (pre-revised PB-3, entry pay Rs. 67,700/- per month) plus Grade Pay Rs. 6,600/- and Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) as applicable.
• Other usual allowances admissible under rules will also be paid as per Government norms; NPA is applicable only to eligible medical candidates.

Age Limit (as on 12-01-2026)

• Maximum age limit: 45 years as on 12/01/2026 for all Senior Resident posts.
• Relaxation:
  • SC/ST: up to 5 years.
  • OBC: up to 3 years.
  • PwBD (UR): up to 10 years; PwBD (OBC): up to 13 years; PwBD (SC/ST): up to 15 years.
• No age relaxation will be available to SC/ST/OBC candidates applying under UR category.

Application Fee

• Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): Nil.
• General/OBC/EWS candidates: Rs. 1,000/- + 18% GST = Rs. 1,180/-.
• SC/ST candidates: Rs. 800/- + 18% GST = Rs. 944/-.

• Application fee once paid is non-refundable under any circumstances.

Selection Process

• Selection will be based solely on interview performance; there is no separate written test mentioned.
• Candidates must apply online via the specified Google Forms link: https://forms.gle/awKiiF23wHgJvgSy7 and subsequently appear for document verification and interview on the scheduled date.
• Candidates may apply for only one department; multiple applications for more than one department/subject will result in cancellation of all applications.
• List of selected candidates will be uploaded on the AIIMS Rajkot website; candidates should regularly check the website for notifications/circulars.
• In case of reserved category posts (EWS/OBC/SC/ST) remaining unfilled due to non-availability of candidates, UR candidates may be allowed to appear and considered against such posts as UR, subject to conditions.
• All original documents will be verified at the time of interview; failure to produce required originals will result in disqualification.

General Information/Instructions

• Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD candidates is as per Government of India policy; PwBD reservation is horizontal across categories.
• Valid category certificate (OBC-NCL/SC/ST/EWS) must be issued before the date of interview and as per Central Government format; otherwise, candidates will be treated as UR.
• PwBD candidates must possess valid disability certificate issued by duly constituted Medical Board of State/Central Government Hospitals, in line with Supreme Court guidelines and MoHFW instructions.
• Candidates should not send hard copy of online application or documents by post; they must bring the printout of online application at the time of document verification.
• Vacancies are provisional and subject to change; Executive Director, AIIMS Rajkot reserves the right to increase or decrease vacancies, change reservation and modify or cancel recruitment process without notice.
• Candidates must follow discipline and conduct rules of AIIMS; canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
• No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview or joining the post.
• All disputes will be subject to jurisdiction of Courts at Rajkot, Gujarat.

• Online application for Senior Resident (Non-DM/M.Ch) posts must be submitted on or before 12/01/2026, 16:00 hrs.
• Candidates should not send hard copies; they must bring the print copy of the online application form at the time of document verification.
• Applicants must pay the prescribed application fee online through the specified payment link and retain the transaction receipt for presenting during document verification.
• On the day of interview (16/01/2026), candidates must report by 08:30 AM at the Office of Dean (Academics), AIIMS Rajkot, with:
  • Printout of online application form.
  • Original and one set of self-attested photocopies of:
    • Date of birth/10th certificate or marksheet showing date of birth.
    • MBBS/BDS/MSc marksheets and degree certificate.
    • FMGE certificate (for foreign medical graduates, if applicable).
    • MD/MS/DNB/MDS/Ph.D degree, marksheets and attempt certificates.
    • Registration certificates with MCI/NMC/DCI/State Medical or Dental Council as applicable.
    • Experience certificates (if any).
    • Identity proof (PAN, Passport, Driving License, Voter ID, Aadhaar, etc.).
    • No Objection Certificate from current employer (for Government employees).
    • Valid category certificate for OBC/SC/ST/EWS and PwBD certificate, as applicable.
    • Payment/transaction receipt of application fee.
    • First page of publications with indexing proof (PubMed/Scopus), if any.
• Candidates who fail to produce any of the mandatory original documents at the time of interview will not be considered for selection.
