Upper age limit 45 years as on 12/01/2026 (last date of application); relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC and up to 10/13/15 years for PwBD (UR/OBC/SC-ST) as per Government of India rules.
Candidates must possess required postgraduate qualification (MD/MS/DNB/MCh/DM or relevant M.Sc with Ph.D) in the concerned specialty from a recognized University/Institute by 31/01/2026, with results declared on or before that date.
Candidates who have appeared for exam/viva voce but whose results are awaited may be allowed to appear provisionally; if result is declared after 31/01/2026, their candidature will be cancelled.
In-service candidates in any Government Institution must produce No Objection Certificate at the time of interview; absence of NOC will disqualify them from interview.
Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD is applicable as per Government of India policy; AIIMS Rajkot follows 4% horizontal reservation for PwBD.

Salary/Stipend
Senior Resident (Medical) will receive pay as per Level 11 of the 7th CPC pay matrix (pre-revised PB-3, entry pay Rs. 67,700/- per month) plus Grade Pay Rs. 6,600/- and Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) as applicable.
Other usual allowances admissible under rules will also be paid as per Government norms; NPA is applicable only to eligible medical candidates.

Maximum age limit: 45 years as on 12/01/2026 for all Senior Resident posts.
Relaxation:
SC/ST: up to 5 years.
OBC: up to 3 years.
PwBD (UR): up to 10 years; PwBD (OBC): up to 13 years; PwBD (SC/ST): up to 15 years.
No age relaxation will be available to SC/ST/OBC candidates applying under UR category.

Selection Process
Selection will be based solely on interview performance; there is no separate written test mentioned.
