APPSC Group A & Group B Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for this recruitment must satisfy all three mandatory eligibility conditions notified vide Government Notification F.No.AR-33/17/2026-SECT-1-AR dated 26th August 2026.
- Permanent Residence Criterion: Candidate must be a citizen of India and an inhabitant of Arunachal Pradesh holding a valid Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC).
- Indigenous Status and APST Criterion: Candidate must be an original inhabitant of Arunachal Pradesh and hold an Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe (APST) Certificate as per the list of Tribes notified under the Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order, 1950.
- Indigenous Tribal Language Proficiency Criterion: Candidate must be able to speak an Indigenous Tribal Language of Arunachal Pradesh and possess working knowledge of the local indigenous tribes, per the implementation mechanism notified by the Government.

Candidates who have appeared or are appearing in the final semester of the qualifying course may also apply, but must submit proof of having passed the qualifying exam in original on or before the date of interview, failing which they will not be permitted to appear for the viva-voce.
APPSC Group A & Group B Age Limit
Candidates must not be less than 21 years and not more than 35 years of age as on the last date of receipt of application, 30th September 2026.
- Age relaxation of up to 5 years for candidates belonging to the Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe (APST) category.
- Age relaxation of up to 10 years for candidates belonging to the PwBD category (15 years for APST-PwBD candidates).
- Age concession for regular State Government employees applies as per prevailing government rules.
- A one-time upper age relaxation applies for candidates applying for the earlier cancelled examinations (ADO, HDO, VO, and DDO posts), per Government Notification dated 29th June 2026.
- Date of birth accepted will be as entered in the Matriculation Certificate issued by a recognized Board; no other document (horoscope, affidavit, birth extract, etc.) will be accepted as age proof.

APPSC Group A & Group B Salary
Selected candidates for Group-A posts (Agriculture Development Officer, Horticulture Development Officer, Veterinary Officer, Assistant Director-Sericulture) will be placed in Pay Level 10, carrying a pay scale of ₹56,100–₹1,77,500. The Dairy Development Officer (Group-B) post carries Pay Level 6, ₹35,400–₹1,12,400.

Selection is based on a Written Examination followed by an Interview/Viva-voce, as per the Scheme of Examination notified by the Administrative Reforms Department dated 24th July 2026.

Qualifying Criteria for Viva-voce
- General candidates must score an aggregate of 33% of total marks in the written exam, with at least 20% in each paper/subject.
- PwBD candidates must score an aggregate of 20% of total marks in the written exam, with at least 10% in each paper/subject.
- Candidates invited for Interview/Viva-voce will be about 3 times the number of advertised vacancies (post/category-wise), or as decided by the Commission.
Recruitment Test (Screening, if Applicable)
If the number of applicants exceeds the requisite ratio, the Commission will conduct an Objective Type Recruitment Test as a screening stage only - its marks are not counted toward the final merit.

Facility of Scribe and Compensatory Time (PwBD Candidates)
- Candidates with Blindness, Locomotor Disability (Both Arms Affected), or Cerebral Palsy may avail a Scribe by opting for it in the online application; if bringing their own scribe, complete scribe details must be submitted in the prescribed proforma.
- PwBD candidates of other disability categories opting for a scribe must submit a certificate of physical limitation to write from a Chief Medical Officer/Civil Surgeon/Medical Superintendent of a government healthcare institution.
- The scribe's qualification must be matriculation or above, but below the minimum qualification required for the post.

APPSC Group A & Group B Recruitment 2026 – Important Instructions
- Admission at all stages of examination (Recruitment Test, Written Examination, or Viva-voce) is purely provisional; ineligibility discovered at any stage will lead to cancellation of candidature.
- Only a single application should be submitted; if multiple applications are submitted, only the one with the highest Registration ID (RID) will be considered, and fees are not adjustable across RIDs.
- Candidates must satisfy their own eligibility before applying - issuance of an admit card or appearance in any stage does not confirm eligibility or entitle a candidate to appointment.
- The candidature at any stage is subject to the outcome of any pending court proceedings.
