Age Relaxation

ASC Centre (South) Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
Selection to all Group C posts under this recruitment is made solely on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in the written test, subject to qualifying in the Skill/Physical/Practical test, as applicable to the post.
- Skill/Physical/Practical Test: All candidates are first examined for their technical trade skill and physical fitness (as applicable to the post). This test is qualifying in nature.
- Written Test: Only candidates who clear the technical trade and physical test are eligible to appear for the written test. The written test consists of four objective-type papers, conducted over a duration of 2 hours, with negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

Important Instructions
- Physically handicapped (PWD) candidates have no reserved vacancies in the following trades: CCI, Cook, MTS (Chowkidar), Cleaner, Labour, and Civil Motor Driver.
- Aadhaar Card prepared below 10 years of age will not be accepted; Aadhaar and PAN must bear the applicant’s name exactly as per the School Certificate.
- OBC, SC, ST, and EWS category candidates must submit legitimate certificates issued by the competent authority as prescribed under DoPT O.M. No. 36039/1/2019-Estt (Res) dated 31-01-2019.
- SC/ST/OBC/EWS/ESM/PWD/MSP candidates have the right to compete for General/unreserved vacancies; in such cases, no concession or relaxation applicable to their category will be provided.

- Ex-servicemen (ESM) candidates must submit an Ex-servicemen certificate along with a self-attested copy of the Discharge Certificate and an Undertaking in the format given in the notification (Appendix-III).
- Serving Defence personnel (Army/Navy/Air Force) and Defence Civilian Employees currently in service must enclose a "No Objection Certificate" (NOC) issued by their Record Office.
- Persons already employed in Central/State Government or a PSU must apply through proper channel, along with a certificate from their establishment confirming no disciplinary action is pending and no objection to their release if selected.
- Meeting the basic eligibility criteria does not automatically entitle a candidate to be called for the Skill/Physical/Practical and written test; shortlisting may be resorted to if the number of applications is large.
- All selected candidates are liable for All India service and may be posted to Hard Areas, High Altitude Areas, Remote Locality Areas, or Field Areas. Selected candidates are advised to give a choice of three stations in order of preference; final posting will be subject to administrative requirements.
- There is no provision for re-evaluation or re-checking of scores; no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
- The number of vacancies mentioned in the notification is provisional and can be changed by the Commandant, ASC Centre (South), if necessary. The recruitment process can also be cancelled, suspended, or terminated at any stage for administrative reasons.
