Project Title: Evaluating the Neuro-therapeutic Potential of DNA Methyltransferase-inhibitors and CDNF gene (delivery) for Parkinson's disease Management
Principal Investigator: Prof. Rajeev Taliyan, Department of Pharmacy, BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus
Co-Investigator: Dr. Jagpreet Sidhu, Department of Pharmacy, BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus
Eligibility Criteria
- Essential Qualification:
- First class Master's Degree in M.Pharm / MS in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology or Biotechnology
- Desirable Qualifications:
- Candidates who have qualified GPAT / GATE / INSPIRE exams
- Experience in molecular biology and pharmacology
- Experience in formulation development will be preferred

Upper Age Limit: 35 Years
Job Description
The selected candidate will work on:
- Pharm formulation development and its characterization
- Performing In Vitro and In Vivo studies to explore molecular mechanisms
- Using advanced techniques: RT-PCR, Western blotting, SDS-PAGE
- Development of mRNA and Gene Delivery systems
- Research on DNA Methyltransferase-inhibitors for Parkinson's disease
- Neuro-therapeutic potential evaluation of CDNF gene delivery
Compensation & Benefits
- Fellowship/Stipend: Rs. 56,000/- per month
- HRA: 10% of monthly stipend (if applicable, as per rules)
- Other Benefits: As per ICMR and BITS Pilani norms
