- Project Associate I (PAT I): M.Sc. (Ag.) in Agronomy/ Horticulture / Soil Science / Agricultural Chemistry or M.Sc. in Botany / Chemistry / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Bioinformatics / Nanotechnology.
- Project Associate II (PAT II): M.Sc. (Ag.) in Agronomy/ Horticulture / Soil Science / Agricultural Chemistry or M.Sc. in Botany / Chemistry / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Biotechnology / Bioinformatics / Nanotechnology. And 02 Year Experience in Research and development in industrial and academic institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services.
- Project Assistant II: B.Sc. in Agriculture / Horticulture / Forestry; or B.Sc. in Biological sciences (ZBC or others).

CSIR NBRI Recruitment 2026 - Salary / Stipend
- Project Associate I (PAT I): (a) Rs. 31,000/- + HRA for candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC / ICAR / ICMR NET incl. lectureship/assistant professorship or GATE OR those who have qualified National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments like their DBT/DST or equivalent and/or Agencies/Institutions. (b) Rs. 25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (a) above.
- Project Associate II (PAT II): (a) Rs. 35,000/- + HRA for candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC/ICAR / ICMR NET incl. lectureship/assistant professorship or GATE OR those who have qualified National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments like their DBT/DST or equivalent and/or Agencies/Institutions. (b) Rs. 28,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (a) above.
- Project Assistant II: Rs. 20,000/- + HRA. Increment of 15% after 03 Years of experience in the same project.
