Age Limit

The maximum age is 32 years. Age is counted on the closing date of applications, 27 November 2026.

Essential Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/ Technology in Computer Science and Technology/ Information Technology from any recognized University or Institute, OR Master's Degree in Computer Science/ Technology/MCA from any recognized University/Institute.
• At least 02 years of experience in a relevant field in a University/Research establishment/ Central/State Govt./PSU and other autonomous bodies, or a private organisation of repute with an annual turnover of at least Rs. 200/- Crores or more.

You must hold the minimum qualification on the closing date of applications. Indian nationals only can apply.

Age Relaxation

• SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other reserved categories: relaxation in age, experience and qualifying marks for reserved posts, as per UGC / Govt. of India guidelines. You must attach a certificate from the competent authority.
• Regular employees of Central Govt./State Govt./Central Universities/UGC-maintained deemed universities/other Central or State autonomous bodies: as per Government of India Rules.
• Ex-Servicemen: as per Government of India Rules.
• Group 'C' and erstwhile Group 'D' departmental candidates with three years of continuous regular service in the university: up to 40 years for General candidates and up to 45 years for SC/ST candidates.

Who Cannot Apply

These people cannot apply:

• anyone convicted by a court, or facing pending criminal proceedings
• anyone of unsound mind or questionable conduct, or medically unfit for the duties
• anyone who has married a person with a living spouse, unless the competent authority grants an exemption
• anyone who is not a citizen of India

Application Fee

If the University withdraws the advertisement, it will refund the fee within a reasonable period.

Selection Process

The written test or skill test will follow University norms. There will be no interview, because this is a Group 'C' post (MHRD, now MoE, Letter No. 19-50/2015-Desk-U dated 22.12.2015). Bring all original certificates of age, qualifications and experience to the test. Without them, you may not be allowed to sit the test.

The University may keep a waiting list. If a selected candidate does not join within six months, or resigns or dies within one year of joining, the offer goes to the next candidate on merit. An SC/ST/OBC candidate who is selected on the general standard is counted as a merit candidate against an unreserved point.

Outstation SC/ST candidates get to-and-fro sleeper-class rail fare by the shortest route. Where there is no rail link, they get ordinary bus fare on showing the ticket. This does not apply to those already in government, PSU or local-body employment. All other candidates attend at their own cost.

Service Conditions

• Probation follows University norms.
• You may be posted anywhere within the University's jurisdiction.
• The New Pension Scheme of the Govt. of India applies, as extended by the UGC.
• The University's Act, Statutes, Ordinances and Rules apply, along with the CCS (Conduct) Rules, 1964 and the CCS (CCA) Rules, 1965.
• Before joining, you must give a medical fitness certificate from a Govt. hospital or a Govt./CGHS empanelled hospital, countersigned by the civil surgeon or the Medical Superintendent/Director.
• The appointment stays provisional until your character and antecedents are verified.

How to Apply for CUH Technical Assistant (Computer) Recruitment 2026

1. Open the CUH Samarth recruitment portal and register or log in.
2. Fill in the application form in full. Your eligibility is judged only on what you enter, and no changes are allowed later. Incomplete forms are rejected.
3. Reserved-category candidates must attach self-attested caste/class certificates. PwBD candidates must attach a disability certificate in the Government of India format. Without these, the application is rejected. Also attach the certificate for any relaxation you claim.
4. Pay the fee if your category has to pay.
5. Submit the form by 05:00 PM on 27.11.2026. Use a separate form for each post.
6. If you are already in service, apply through proper channel with a vigilance clearance certificate. You may send an advance copy. If your employer does not forward the application, bring a No Objection Certificate and the Vigilance Clearance Certificate in a sealed cover to the test.

Test call letters and all other messages go only to the email address on your form. Any corrigendum will appear only on the University website. Canvassing of any kind disqualifies you. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
