Dredging Corporation of India Recruitment 2026 – Walkin for 11 Project Manager, Hydrographic Surveyor Posts

Dredging Corporation of India Limited (DCI) will hold a walk-in interview on 16 November 2026 (Monday) at 10.00 hrs at Dredging Corporation of India Ltd., PO – Guwahati, Gate No.2, IWAI – RO, 1st Floor, Pandu Port Complex, Guwahati, Dist: Kamrup Metropolitan, Assam 781012. Under Advertisement No. 05/2026, it is filling 3 Project Manager posts and 8 Hydrographic Surveyor posts on contract basis for Inland Dredging Works (National Waterways Projects). The pay is Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 65,000 (consolidated) for Project Manager and Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 40,000 (consolidated) for Hydrographic Surveyor.

Dredging Corporation of India Limited is owned by a consortium of four major ports: Visakhapatnam Port Authority, Paradip Port Authority, Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority and Deendayal Port Authority. Posts and Eligibility

Both posts are on contract basis. The age limit for both is below 45 years as on the date of interview (16.11.2026), and experience is also counted as on the date of interview.

Project Manager (On Contract basis)

• Vacancies: 3 Nos (UR-3).
• Experience: 6 years experience in Civil Engineering works / infrastructural development projects / marine construction projects, etc., preferably in dredging projects / desiltation projects / Inland water works etc.
• Age: Below 45 years as on date of interview.
• Remuneration: Rs. 50,000/- to Rs 65,000/- (consolidated), to be decided based on the post qualification experience and performance in the interview.
• Term: three years on yearly extension basis, based on performance, operational requirements and at the discretion of Management.
• Posting: West Bengal / Assam / NE Region; may be transferred to any place in India as per the requirements of the Company.

Hydrographic Surveyor (On Contract basis)

• Vacancies: 08 Nos. (UR-5, OBC-2, SC-1).
• Experience: 01 years experience in land / civil engineering surveys works, preferably in Hydrographic surveys.
• Age: Below 45 years as on date of interview.
• Remuneration: Rs.25,000/- to Rs.40,000/- (consolidated), to be decided based on the post qualification experience and interview.
• Term: three years on yearly extension basis, based on performance, operational requirements and at the discretion of Management.
• Posting: West Bengal / Assam / NE Region; may be transferred to any place in India as per the requirements of the Company.

Relaxation in the age limit will be considered for SCs/STs/OBCs/PWD etc., as per the existing Government guidelines. The notice states that the prescribed qualification and experience are the minimum, and mere possession of them does not entitle a candidate to take part in the selection process. Project Manager

• Responsible for planning, monitoring and execution of project.

Hydrographic Surveyor

• Responsible for carrying out Hydrographic / land surveys / Civil Engineering survey works.
• Data processing and chart preparation.
• Quantity calculations and revenue bill preparation, etc.

• Name in full block letters, father's name, date of birth and completed age (YY MM) as on the date of interview, 16.11.2026.
• Permanent address, address for communication, mobile number and e-mail.
• Category (SC / ST / OBC / EWS / General), with the relevant certificate enclosed, and whether a parent or relative is employed with DCI (name, relationship, designation, department).
• Educational qualifications from Matriculation onwards and professional / technical qualifications (institution, examination, year, class, percentage); total experience with organisation, post, period, completed years and reasons for leaving; last pay drawn (scale, basic pay, gross monthly emoluments) with proof attached; training details and professional memberships.
• A brief statement on how the experience is relevant to the post, two personal references (not close or blood-related family members) with address, occupation and phone numbers, the list of enclosures, and the signed declaration with place and date.

What Happens on the Day

Shortlisting will be done based on the information and declaration submitted by the candidate at the time of the walk-in interview. Candidates not fulfilling the criteria stipulated in the advertisement will not be allowed to attend the interview. Selection shall be based on interview, and the pay within each post's range is decided on qualification, experience and performance in the interview.
