Qualifications for Chief LADC: Practice in Criminal law for at least 10 years; All India Bar council exam must be cleared; Must have handled at least 30 criminal trials in Sessions Court (condition relaxable in appropriate circumstances); Excellent communication skills; Knowledge of Computer System preferred.
Qualifications for Deputy Chief LADC: Practice in Criminal law for at least 7 years; All India Bar council exam must be cleared; Must have handled at least 20 criminal trials in Sessions Court; Excellent communication skills; IT Knowledge with proficiency in work.

Salary/Stipend

Assistant Legal Aid Defense Counsel: ₹25,000/- per month each.
Legal Aid Defense Counsel shall devote full time to duties and shall not engage in private practice of law during the term of employment.

Selection Process
Selection is based on merit, taking into account the knowledge, skills, practice, and experience of the candidates.
The selection shall be carried out by a selection committee under the Chairmanship of the Principal District & Sessions Judge, subject to final approval by the Executive Chairman, SLSA.

General Information/Instructions
The posts are filled purely on a temporary basis on contract, initially for a period of two years, with a possibility of yearly extension based on satisfactory performance.
The applicant must be a citizen of India and a Local resident of Virudhunagar District.
Services can be terminated at any time without prior notice for reasons such as breach of duty, accepting pecuniary gains, political activities, or breach of the code of ethics.
