DPCC Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Only officers and officials holding a regular post in the Central Government, State Government, Union Territory, Recognized Research Institute, Autonomous Bodies, Statutory Bodies, or PSUs are eligible to apply. Applications from officers working in private organisations, or those who are unemployed, retired, or on a contractual basis, will not be considered.

Post-wise Eligibility and Educational Qualification

1. Senior Environmental Engineer (Level-12, Pay Matrix Rs. 78800-209200)

  • Holding an analogous post on regular basis; or having at least five years of regular service in Level-11 (Rs. 67700-208700) or equivalent; and
  • Possessing a Master's degree in Engineering in a related field from a recognised University or Institution, with ten years' experience in pollution control or a related field after acquiring the Master's Degree.
  • Relevant Engineering fields: Civil, Environment, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, ECE, Biomedical Engineering, Water Resources, Remote Sensing, GIS, or Hydrology.

2. Environmental Engineer (Level-11, Pay Matrix Rs. 67700-208700)

  • Holding an analogous post on regular basis; or having at least five years of regular service in Pay Level 10 (Rs. 56100-177500); and
  • Possessing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering in a related field with eight years' experience in pollution control after the Bachelor's Degree, or a Master's degree in Engineering in a related field with six years' experience after the Master's Degree.
  • Relevant Engineering fields: Civil, Environment, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, ECE, Biomedical Engineering, Water Resources, Remote Sensing, GIS, or Hydrology.

3. Assistant Environmental Engineer (Level-10, Pay Matrix Rs. 56100-177500)

  • Holding an analogous post on regular basis; and
  • A Degree in Engineering in a related field with two years' experience in pollution control/related field, or a Master's degree in Engineering from a recognised university.

4. Additional Director (Scientist 'E') (Level-13, Pay Matrix Rs. 123100-215900)

  • Holding an analogous post on regular basis; or at least five years of regular service in Pay Level 12 (Rs. 78800-209200) or equivalent; and
  • Possessing a Master's degree in Science with at least fifteen years' experience in pollution control or related subjects, or a Doctorate in Science with at least ten years' experience in pollution control or related subjects.

5. Senior Scientist L-II (Scientist-D) (Level-12, Pay Matrix Rs. 78800-209200)

  • Holding an analogous post on regular basis; or at least five years of regular service in Level-11 (Rs. 67700-208700) or equivalent; and
  • Possessing a Master's degree in Science with at least thirteen years' experience in pollution control or related subjects, or a Doctorate in Science.

6. Senior Scientist L-I (Scientist-C) (Level-11, Pay Matrix Rs. 67700-208700)

  • Holding an analogous post on regular basis; or at least five years of regular service in Level-10 (Rs. 56100-177500); and
  • Possessing a Master's degree in Science with at least eight years' experience in pollution control or related subjects.

7. Scientist-B (Level-10, Pay Matrix Rs. 56100-177500)

  • Holding an analogous post on regular basis; or at least eight years of regular service in Level-6 (Rs. 35400-112400) or equivalent; and
  • Possessing a Master's degree in Science with at least three years' experience in pollution control or related subjects.

8. Scientific Assistant (Level-6, Pay Matrix Rs. 35400-112400)

  • Holding an analogous post on regular basis; or at least ten years of regular service in Level-4 (Rs. 25500-81100) or equivalent; and
  • Possessing a Bachelor's degree in science and experience in laboratory work.

9. Senior Lab Assistant (Level-4, Pay Matrix Rs. 25500-81100)

  • Holding an analogous post on regular basis; or at least eight years of regular service in Level-2 (Rs. 19900-63200) or equivalent.

10. Assistant Law Officer (Level-7, Pay Matrix Rs. 44900-142400)

  • Holding an analogous post on regular basis; or at least five years of regular service in Level-6 (Rs. 35400-112400); and
  • Possessing a Bachelor's Degree in Law from a recognised University/Institution, with four years' experience as a legal practitioner or in handling legal work in a Government Department/PSU/Autonomous body/Statutory body.

11. Legal Assistant (Level-6, Pay Matrix Rs. 35400-112400)

  • Holding an analogous post on regular basis; or three years of regular service after appointment on regular basis in Level-6 or equivalent; and
  • A Degree in Law from a recognised University.

12. System Analyst (Level-11, Pay Matrix Rs. 67700-208700)

  • Holding an analogous post on regular basis; or five years of regular service in Level-10; or eight years' regular service in Level-6; and
  • Possessing one of the following qualifications:
    • Master's degree in Computer Application/Computer Science or M.Tech (with specialisation in computer application) or BE/B.Tech in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Computer Technology, with five years' experience in Electronic Data Processing, of which at least two years should be in actual programming; or
    • Degree in Computer Applications/Computer Science or Electronics/Electronics and Communication Engineering, with seven years' experience in Electronic Data Processing, of which at least three years should be in actual programming; or
    • Master's Degree or Degree in Engineering with eight years' experience in Electronic Data Processing, of which at least four years should be in actual computer programming; or
    • 'A' Level Diploma under DOEACC Programme or Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application, or Post Polytechnic Diploma in Computer Application, with eight years' experience in Electronic Data Processing, of which at least four years should be in actual programming.
