DVC BPSCL Management Trainee Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 18 Posts

Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC), under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, has invited online applications on behalf of Bokaro Power Supply Company (P) Limited (BPSCL) for 18 Management Trainee (Technical) posts in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and C&I, to be filled on GATE-2025 marks, in the pay scale of Rs 50,000–1,60,000. Applications are taken only on the DVC website www.dvc.gov.in (Career Section, Recruitment Notices) from 6 November 2026 until 23:59 hrs on 6 December 2026. BPSCL is a joint venture of Steel Authority of India Ltd. and DVC, so the posts are in this company (Advt. No. PLR/BPSCL/05/2026/07).

About BPSCL

Bokaro Power Supply Company (P) Limited is a joint venture of Steel Authority of India Ltd. and Damodar Valley Corporation, registered under the Companies Act, 1956. Its main business is steam and power generation, with a present capacity of 338 MW of power and 2180 TPH of steam. It was set up to meet the captive steam and power needs of SAIL, Bokaro Steel Plant, and has rooftop solar PV units with an aggregate capacity of 2.1 MWp. The plant and office are at Bokaro Steel City, Jharkhand. The advertisement is issued by the Human Resource Department of DVC, DVC Towers, VIP Road, Kolkata – 700054.

Seats by Trade

The notice lists 18 projected vacancies across four posts. It says the vacancies may increase or decrease with future requirements and at the discretion of BPSCL Management. Of the vacancies, 01 is reserved for PwBD (Blind and Low Vision, horizontal reservation); the notice does not say in which post.

Who Can Apply

Qualification

For all four posts the essential qualification is a full-time Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology from a university/institution approved by AICTE/appropriate statutory authority. Marks must be not less than 65% for Gen/OBC (NCL)/EWS and 55% for SC/ST/PwD, in aggregate of all years/semesters, as per the conversion formula of the concerned university/institution. The discipline and the GATE-2025 paper differ by post:

• The candidate must have appeared in the corresponding GATE-2025 paper and qualified in it. Only GATE-2025 marks (out of 100) are valid; GATE marks of 2024 or earlier are not valid.
• Candidates who appeared in the final semester (2025) of their engineering course and are awaiting results may apply, but must submit the final year mark sheet and provisional degree certificate/degree certificate at Document Verification. Without it they will not be allowed to appear for Document Verification.
• Only Indian nationals are eligible, and a candidate can apply for one post/discipline only.
• If a degree gives CGPA/grades instead of marks, the percentage is worked out as per the university's certified procedure; where none exists, CGPA is divided by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplied by 100.

Age

The upper age limit is 28 years for unreserved candidates, as on the closing date of online application. The upper age limit for BPSCL departmental candidates is 45 years; they must also qualify in the corresponding GATE-2025 paper, irrespective of caste/category. The notice prints no minimum age.

The notice says relaxation for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwBD/Ex-SM candidates is as per Government of India guidelines.

Who Cannot Apply

• Candidates whose degree is not approved by AICTE/appropriate statutory authority are not eligible.
• OBC candidates belonging to the Creamy Layer cannot claim the OBC concession and must show their category as General.

Reservation

• PwBD reservation requires permanent disability of at least 40%, with a PwBD certificate in the latest format for the relevant disability category.
• Reservation/relaxation for SC/ST, OBC (NCL), EWS, PwBD, J&K domicile, ex-servicemen and riot victims depends on certificates in the Government of India format, submitted at Document Verification if called for.
• OBC (NCL) and EWS certificates must be issued in the current year, not older than one year from the date of Document Verification. OBC (NCL) candidates must also give a self-undertaking in the prescribed format.
• A caste certificate in a language other than Hindi or English should come with a certified Hindi or English translation.
• Annexures 1 to 4 (Government of India formats for caste, income and asset, and disability certificates) are on the DVC website under Career, Recruitment, Recruitment Notices.

Stipend and Training Period

Trainees are also eligible for Industrial DA, perks, allowances, annual increment, leave, medical facilities, provident fund and gratuity as admissible under the company's rules. House Rent Allowance is payable only where company accommodation is not available. Selected candidates may be posted at any BPSCL plant/unit location. Before joining, they must pass the Pre-Employment Medical Examination by the BPSCL Medical Board; its decision is final and no relaxation in health standards is allowed.

How to Apply for DVC BPSCL Recruitment 2026

Part 1: Register and apply

1. From 6 November 2026, register online at the DVC website www.dvc.gov.in under Career Section, Recruitment Notices. No other mode of application is accepted.
2. Keep the GATE-2025 score card ready before filling the form. After submission, no request to change the roll number/registration number or name is accepted.
3. Keep ready the marks details from the academic and professional certificates and mark sheets.
4. Upload a recent photograph (3.5 cm x 3.5 cm, clear front view, no cap or sunglasses) and signature in png, jpg or jpeg, maximum 2 MB. The same photo is used throughout the selection process.
5. Upload PDF files (maximum 2 MB) of the Class 10/12 certificate or marksheet, the essential qualification certificate and the GATE scorecard.
6. Apply for one post/discipline only, by 23:59 hrs on 6 December 2026.

Part 2: Pay the fee

1. After the online application, click the link for payment of application fee (wherever applicable).
2. General/OBC (NCL)/EWS candidates pay Rs 300 online in one go; a lesser amount is not accepted. Bank charges are borne by the candidate. The fee is non-refundable.
3. Download the e-receipt and keep it for Document Verification. The application is complete only on submission of the fee, wherever applicable. The last date for fee payment is 6 December 2026.

Documents to bring at Document Verification

Candidates must bring one set of self-attested photocopies along with originals of:

• Printout of the online application form and the original GATE 2025 scorecard.
• Proof of date of birth (Class Xth Board Certificate or passing certificate); valid certificates and mark sheets of Class Xth, XIIth and degree/diploma (semester-wise/year-wise); valid degree or provisional degree.
• Valid SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/EWS/PwBD certificate and age relaxation cum domicile/discharge certificate, if applicable; valid experience certificate(s), if applicable.
• No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the current employer, if working in a PSU/Central Govt./State Govt./Semi-Govt.
• Application fee payment e-receipt.
• Four recent passport size colour photographs and identity proof (Aadhaar Card/PAN card/Passport/Driving License/Voter ID card).
• Proof of AICTE approval of the course (a print-out of the AICTE notice or other document issued by the institution) is advised.

Selection Process

Selection rests on GATE-2025 marks, followed by Document Verification and a pre-employment medical examination.

GATE-2025 marks

The selection consists only of marks obtained (out of 100) in the corresponding GATE-2025 paper. Qualifying marks are as decided by the GATE-2025 conducting authority.

Shortlisting for Document Verification

Candidates are shortlisted in order of merit in the ratio of 1:5 or more to the category-wise vacancies in each discipline. If two or more candidates in the same discipline and category have equal marks and the ratio is exceeded, all of them are called. BPSCL may increase or decrease the ratio, and being GATE-qualified gives no right to be called.

Document Verification

Date, time and venue are posted on the DVC website only, and no hard copy call letter is sent by post. Candidates must show the GATE-2025 admit card and original scorecard as identity proof; a hazy photo may be corroborated with Aadhaar, Voter Card, PAN, Driving Licence or Passport. Eligibility is confirmed after Document Verification. If two or more candidates have equal marks in the final merit list, the older candidate is placed first.

• A candidate who is found at any stage not to meet the eligibility norms, or to have given false information or hidden facts, has the candidature cancelled; after appointment, services may be terminated without notice.
• Candidature is provisional at all stages of selection.
• All signatures during physical verification should be identical; differently styled signatures may lead to rejection.
• BPSCL may cancel, restrict, enlarge, modify or alter the recruitment/selection process without notice or reason, and its decision on eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications and postings is final.
• No interim correspondence is entertained, and canvassing in any form is treated as disqualification.
• DVC is not responsible for network or other problems in submitting the online application.
• Only Xerox copies of documents are retained; records of candidates other than selected ones are not maintained after the process ends.
• Later amendments or clarifications will be on the DVC website only. Legal jurisdiction for any dispute is only at a court in Kolkata.
