ESIC Teaching Faculty & Senior Resident 2025 Vacancy Details

The total number of vacancies for ESIC Teaching Faculty & Senior Resident Recruitment 2025 is 8 posts, distributed across Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry departments as per the reservation breakup.

One vacancy each in Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor cadre is reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwD) as per Government of India guidelines.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

• Educational qualifications for Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor and Senior Resident are to be in accordance with the latest National Medical Commission (NMC/MCI) guidelines for the concerned post and specialty.
• Candidates must possess up-to-date Medical Registration (NMC/State Medical Council) with all post MBBS/MD/MS qualification(s), or proof of having applied for updated registration to be produced at the time of interview.

2. Age Limit

• Teaching Faculty (Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor): Not exceeding 69 years as on 16/12/2025; maximum tenure of engagement is till 70 years of age subject to rules.
• Senior Resident: Not exceeding 45 years as on 16/12/2025; age relaxation applicable as per prevailing Government of India norms.

3. Other Conditions

• Candidates working in Government/Autonomous/Statutory Institutions should preferably have a No Objection Certificate (NOC) or proof of having applied for NOC at the time of document verification.
• No private practice in any capacity is allowed after joining ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Naroda-Bapunagar, Ahmedabad.

Age Limit

• Teaching Faculty (all cadres) upper age: 69 years as on 16/12/2025, with contractual tenure allowed up to 70 years subject to norms.
• Senior Resident upper age: 45 years as on 16/12/2025, with relaxations as per Government of India rules for reserved categories.

Selection Process

• Selection will be made on the basis of acquired academic credentials and performance in interview before the duly constituted Selection Board.
• Only candidates whose documents are successfully verified by the Document Verification Committee on the interview date will be permitted to appear before the Interview Board.
• The result will be published only in the “Recruitments” section of the ESIC website, and offer of appointment will be sent through email; selected candidates must join as per instructions.

Application Fee

• SC/ST/ESIC Regular Employee/Female Candidate/Defence Ex-servicemen/PwD: Nil.
• All Other Categories: Rs. 500/- (non-refundable) to be paid through Demand Draft in favour of “ESI Fund A/c No.-1” payable at Ahmedabad.

Salary/Stipend

Non-medical officers, if selected, are not entitled to Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA), and eligibility for allowances will be as per ESIC HQ Office Memorandum and any subsequent orders.

• Contract tenure is initially for 1 year and may be extended up to 3 years subject to ESIC HQ approval, satisfactory performance, willingness, conduct, and institutional requirements; contract may be terminated early as per terms.
• Selected candidates must deposit a Security Deposit (Professor: Rs. 1,00,000; Associate Professor: Rs. 75,000; Assistant Professor: Rs. 50,000; Senior Resident: Rs. 50,000) via Demand Draft in favour of “ESI Fund A/c No. 1”, refundable on successful completion and No Dues Certificate.
• Absence from work exceeding 7 days without prior approval will be treated as voluntary abandonment, leading to automatic termination; attendance must be marked manually and through AEBAS.
• All corrigendum/addendum/updates will be uploaded only on the ESIC website; applicants should check the site regularly.
