Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Educational Qualification: Law graduate from a University/Institution recognized by UGC (University Grants Commission).
- Professional Registration: Enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of the State in which he/she is practicing.
- Minimum Experience: 2 years' experience in dealing with Civil/Service/Labor Arbitration cases.
- Drafting Expertise: Exposure to drafting of Agreements/MoUs/Deeds and other legal documents after enrolment.
- Institution Ranking: While considering applications, the ranking of Institution provided under established framework shall be the deciding factor.

Age Limit
- Maximum Age Limit: 40 years as on the last date for receiving applications.

Interview Details
- Interview Type: Walk-in Interview (no prior online/postal application required).
- Interview Date & Time: 23 February 2026 (Monday), 11:00 AM.
- Venue: ICMR Headquarters, V. Ramalingaswami Bhawan, Ansari Nagar, New Delhi‑110029.
- Eligible Candidates: Law graduates meeting prescribed age limit, qualifications and experience.
- Screening Process: Short‑listing based on educational qualifications, age, and relevant experience; written test or assignment may be conducted before interview, if required.

Important Instructions and Guidelines
- Incomplete or unsigned applications, or failure to submit required self‑attested documents, will lead to rejection without further consideration.
- Submission of false/incorrect information at any stage will result in disqualification; engagement can be terminated if discrepancies are found later.
- All submitted documents will be verified with originals.
- The Director General, ICMR reserves the right to accept/reject any application, fill or not fill the posts, and prepare a wait‑list panel valid for one year.
- The organization may cancel/postpone the walk‑in interview without assigning any reason.
- No TA/DA is payable for attending interview or joining the post; candidates must make their own arrangements for stay.
- Candidates already in regular service under any Central/State Govt./Autonomous body/PSU are not eligible to apply.
- No claim for regular/permanent employment under ICMR shall arise; the post is purely temporary and contractual.
Responsibilities of Young Professionals-II
- Provide legal advice on administrative issues, court matters, disciplinary cases, etc., for ICMR Hqrs and Institutes.
- Attend court hearings and arbitrations at Delhi and, if required, at other cities.
- Draft and vet counter replies, speaking orders, MoUs, agreements, tender documents, and other legal instruments.
- Monitor and follow up on specific legal issues entrusted to them.
- Analyze legal issues and recommend appropriate course of action.
- Perform any other legal duties assigned by ICMR authority.
