Eligibility Criteria for IIT Delhi Senior Research Fellow 2026
1. Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- PhD degree (completed) or thesis submitted within the past 3 months from the date of advertisement in:
- Materials Engineering
- Metallurgical Engineering
- Biomaterials Engineering
- Related areas
2. Required Expertise
Candidates must have specific expertise in the following areas:
- Additive manufacturing
- CAD/FEM modelling using commercial packages
- Microscopy
- Mechanical properties
3. Preferred Expertise (Additional Advantage)
Preference will be given to candidates possessing expertise on:
- Knowledge/expertise on cytotoxicity
- Relative splint effect
- Clinical trial studies on dental materials
4. Relaxation for SC/ST Candidates
5% relaxation of marks may be granted to the SC/ST Candidates.
Salary/Stipend for IIT Delhi Senior Research Fellow 2026
The selected candidate will receive the following consolidated fellowship:
- Consolidated Pay: Rs.42,000/- per month
- HRA (House Rent Allowance): 27% of consolidated pay
- Total Approximate Salary: Rs.53,340/- per month (including HRA)
Note: In case of selection of a retired/superannuated government employee, his/her salary will be fixed as per prevailing IRD norms.
