Who Can Apply

Candidates must meet the specific educational qualification, national-level test requirements, and research experience stipulated by the funding agency norms.

• Essential Qualification: PG Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Material Engineering / Chemical Engineering or any Professional Course selected through a process described through any one of the following: (a) Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE, (b) The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.
• Required Experience: 02 years of research experience is required along with the above-mentioned qualifications.
• Academic Criteria: A minimum of 60% or equivalent grade from graduation onwards and 55% or equivalent grade in class 10th and 12th.
• Desirable Qualification/Experience: Prior experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics packages (e.g. Ansys Fluent), understanding of chemical reactions kinetics, and strong scientific writing and presentation skills.

Pay and Tenure

The consolidated monthly remuneration is ₹53,340/- per month including HRA. A house rent allowance of Rs.11,340/- per month is applicable as per Institute norms if applicable. The duration of the appointment is 12 months.

• Development of a multi-scale modeling framework for III-V semiconductor thin-film growth in the MOCVD process for solar cell applications.
• Reactor-scale process modeling of the MOCVD process using a Computational Fluid Dynamics Framework like ANSYS Fluent.
• Working closely with the research team at SCL Mohali to validate the developed model.
