Eligibility Criteria
- 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Energy Science, or related fields.
- Master’s degree (Non-Engineering) in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, or related disciplines.
- Relevant experience gained after the minimum qualifying degree will be taken into consideration where applicable.
- Minimum requirements of qualifications and/or experience can be relaxed in respect of exceptionally outstanding candidates at the discretion of the Institute.
- Candidates must be citizens of India; persons who have migrated from Pakistan with the intention of permanently settling in India or subjects of Nepal are also eligible, subject to a Government of India certificate of eligibility.
Salary / Stipend
- Rs. 37,000 per month for the post of Project Associate (Junior Research Fellow).

- Candidates will be short-listed for test/interview on the basis of the information provided in their online applications.
- The Institute reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates for written/skill test/interview to a reasonable limit based on qualifications, level and relevance of experience, and other academic achievements.

General Information / Instructions
- All the positions are on purely contract basis and completion of the contract period will not confer any right for further extension, regularization, or permanency at the Institute.
- The prescribed qualifications are minimum requirements and do not automatically entitle candidates to be called for interview.
- The Institute reserves the right to reject any or all applications without assigning any reason and to decide not to fill the advertised position.
- Candidates must ensure that all information provided in the online application is true; if any information or claim is found false at any stage, candidature will be liable to be rejected and services terminated if appointed.
- The Institute shall verify antecedents or documents at any time during the tenure of service; fake documents or suppressed information will lead to termination.

- Eligible applicants are required to register and submit the application online only; hard copy of the application is not to be sent to the Institute.
- Separate application must be filled for each post; the system will accept a single application only with the registered login ID (email) for an advertisement, so candidates should select multiple positions before submission if required.
- The application cannot be edited or reverted once submitted.
- Candidates should not attempt to apply twice for the same post; multiple applications for the same post will lead to rejection.
- After successful online submission, a printout of the application form must be obtained and produced when called for test/document verification/interview.
