ISRO ICRB Recruitment 2026 - Eligibility

  • Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
Post Educational Qualification
Assistant / Upper Division Clerk (Post No. 1, 3 & 5) Graduation with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA of 6.32 on a 10-point scale from a recognized university, completed within the stipulated duration of the course, AND proficiency in the use of computers.
Junior Personal Assistant / Stenographer (Post No. 2, 4 & 6) Graduation with minimum 60% marks or CGPA of 6.32/10 (completed within stipulated duration) OR Diploma in Commercial/Secretarial Practice with the same marks criteria plus one year of experience as Steno-Typist/Stenographer; AND a minimum speed of 60 words per minute in English Stenography; AND proficiency in the use of computers. (Apprenticeship Training Certificate under BOAT/NATS for DCP/DCCP holders is considered equivalent to one year of Steno-Typist/Stenographer experience.)

  • However, all candidates must initially pay a processing fee of ₹500 per application, uniformly.

Fee is payable only online through the Bharatkosh e-Payment gateway via Internet Banking, UPI, or Debit Cards (domestic). No other mode of payment (cash, cheque, draft, money order, IPO, etc.) is accepted. The processing fee is refunded in full to candidates exempted from the fee (women, SC/ST/PwBD, Ex-Servicemen) who appear in the written test/CBT; for all other candidates, ₹100 is deducted and the balance refunded, provided the candidate appears in the written test/CBT. Refund is not considered if a candidate fails to appear for the written test/CBT.

Written Test

Skill Test

Based on written test performance, candidates are shortlisted for the skill test in the ratio of 1:5 (maximum) to the category-wise number of vacancies.

Final selection is based on marks scored in the written test, from among candidates who qualify in the skill test. In case of a tie, tie-breakers are applied in order: (a) marks in General Intelligence & Reasoning (Post 1,3,5) or English Language & Comprehension (Post 2,4,6); (b) date of birth, with the older candidate preferred.

  • Applications are accepted online only, through the ISRO website, between 27-07-2026 (10:00 AM) and 20-08-2026 (11:55 PM).
  • Candidates may apply for more than one post, subject to conditions. A candidate may apply for different posts under the same or different zones but cannot apply for the same post in different zones. Candidates applying for multiple posts must select the same written test centre.
  • Email ID and mobile number are mandatory in the online application; all hall tickets, call letters, and communications will be sent only via registered email/SMS, with no hard copies sent separately.
  • Candidates registered under the National Career Services (NCS) portal and meeting eligibility conditions may follow the same application process on the ISRO website.

ISRO ICRB Recruitment 2026 Remuneration

  • Selected candidates will be appointed as Assistant / Junior Personal Assistant / Upper Division Clerk / Stenographer in Level 4 of the Pay Matrix.
  • Minimum basic pay: ₹25,500 per month.
  • Additional allowances: Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance as per extant Central Government rules.
  • Employees will be governed by the New Pension Scheme.
  • Other benefits: medical facilities for self and dependents, subsidised canteen, limited quarters facility (in lieu of HRA), Leave Travel Concession, Group Insurance, and House Building Advance, as admissible per Central Government orders.

Important Instructions

  • Candidates employed under Central/State Government, PSUs, or Autonomous Bodies must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer at the time of the Skill Test. Failure to submit the original NOC will result in the candidate not being permitted to appear for the Skill Test, and TA will not be paid.
  • PwBD candidates applying for reserved posts must submit a self-attested Disability Certificate in the prescribed format, indicating percentage of disability (minimum 40% relevant disability required for reservation eligibility), issued by a duly constituted Medical Board.
  • OBC candidates must possess a valid OBC certificate (non-creamy layer, in the prescribed proforma) as on the last date of application. EWS candidates must possess a valid Income and Asset Certificate for financial year 2026–2027.
  • Candidates attending the Skill Test will be reimbursed second-class railway fare (to and fro, shortest route) from the city indicated in the application to the Skill Test venue. No TA is payable for the Written Test.
  • All original documents must be produced at the time of the Skill Test in support of details furnished online. False information will result in disqualification from the Skill Test, and TA will not be paid.
  • Answer keys will be published on the ISRO website within three working days of the written test. Objections, with valid justification, may be raised only through the designated link within 5 days of publication; objections received after this window or through any other mode will not be considered.
  • Appointees are liable to be posted or transferred to any Centre/Unit of the Department of Space/ISRO at any time, based on requirement. The number of vacancies indicated is provisional, and ISRO reserves the right to increase, decrease, or not fill the posts without assigning any reason. The posts are temporary but likely to continue.
  • Any court case or legal matter arising from this recruitment falls under Bangalore, Karnataka jurisdiction. Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification.
  • Candidates are advised NOT to take cognizance of any fake offer of appointment for jobs in ISRO.
