Jharkhand Home Guard Ramgarh Recruitment 2026 Salary / Allowance
Home Guards (Grih Rakshak) are voluntary members of the Jharkhand Home Guard Vahini and are not entitled to a regular salary. They are paid allowances at the rate determined by the Government of Jharkhand for the number of working days on which they are deployed on duty as per requirement.
This is not a salaried government job or a means of regular livelihood. The number of days of deployment and the applicable allowance rate are determined by the organisational requirement and the Home Department of Jharkhand Government from time to time. Jharkhand Home Guard Ramgarh Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
The selection process for Jharkhand Home Guard Ramgarh Recruitment 2026 is based on the guidelines of the Home Department, Jharkhand Government, Ranchi vide Notification No. 5442 dated 20.10.2014. The selection consists of a Physical Test, a Hindi Writing Ability Test, and a Technical Proficiency Test (for Urban Technical candidates only).

Hindi Writing Ability Test (Hindi Lekhan Kshamata Pariksha): Candidates who pass the Physical Test will appear in the Hindi Writing Ability Test. For Rural Home Guards, writing ability will be assessed at the level of Class 7, and for Urban Home Guards at the level of Class 10. This is a qualifying test. Maximum marks: 100; Pass marks: 30.
