Who Can Apply

• A Ph.D. Degree with a minimum 55% marks (or equivalent Grade in a point scale whenever grading system is followed) will be required at Masters' Degree in any discipline in the areas of Humanities, Social Sciences, Sciences, Education, Commerce, Law and Management.
• At least 10 years' experience in teaching, research including 5 years of professional experience at senior supervisory level in the areas of educational planning, management and development including institution building, systems development etc. Of this, at least 5 years should be in Professor's scale.

All essential qualifications must have been obtained from a recognized University/Institute, meaning one affiliated to UGC or other statutory apex bodies, or recognized by the State or Central Government as a centre of higher learning. A degree from a foreign University must be recognized as equivalent to its Indian counterpart by the Association of Indian Universities. Qualifications and experience attained up to the last date of application are counted.

Desirable

• Candidates with relevant experience in the Distance Education System will be preferred.

Age Limit

The upper age limit is 68 (Sixty-Eight) years as on 01.01.2026. The notice prints no age relaxation. It says the state government norms on reservations, as amended from time to time, will be followed, if applicable.

Pay and Terms

The pay is a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 1,44,200 per month. Other allowances are not admissible. The post is on a full-time regular basis for one post. 1. Download the application form in the prescribed format from the university website https://www.klyuniv.ac.in. It is available from 04/11/2026 to 27/11/2026 (up to 4.30 P.M).
2. Write your mobile number and e-mail ID clearly, in CAPITAL LETTERS, in the application form.
3. Submit the duly filled-in form either in person at the Central Receipt and Dispatch Section, Administrative Building of the university, on all working days between 12.00 PM and 4.30 P.M, or send it by speed post/courier.
4. Address it to: The Registrar, University of Kalyani, P.O and P.S. Kalyani, District – Nadia, Pin – 741235, West Bengal.
5. Write the post applied for on the top of the envelope containing the application form, in capital letters as the notice requires.
6. Send the original Demand Draft for the application fee along with the form. Rs. 1000/- is payable by SC/ST/Differently abled (Physically as well as Visually) candidates and Rs. 1500/- by candidates belonging to UR and OBC categories. The Demand Draft is in favour of UNIVERSITY OF KALYANI payable at 'KALYANI'.

• One (1) set of photocopies of all marksheets, certificates and other testimonials
• Six (6) photocopies of the application form only
• No Objection Certificate (NOC) / forwarding from/by the existing employer, if applicable

Applications received after 27/11/2026 (up to 4.30 P.M.) are not entertained, including for postal delay.

Selection Process

The notice mentions an interview. Meeting the minimum qualifications does not guarantee a call for interview, and the University reserves the right to decide the number of candidates to be called. Candidates may have to send scanned copies of all submitted documents to the Registrar electronically before the interview, if necessary, so they should retain a complete set, including publications if any.
