Vacancy Details

Eligibility Criteria

• The eligibility criteria for the Guest Faculty are same as prescribed for the regular Assistant Professor in UGC Regulations as adopted by the University of Delhi.
• Only candidates with a minimum API Score of 55 marks and above shall be eligible as indicated in the Guidelines for Screening and or Shortlisting of candidates for appointment of Assistant Professors in Colleges issued Notification No. Estab.IV/047/2023 dated 20.07.2023.
• Shortlisting of candidates for Assistant Professor positions in colleges is based on a 100 point scale covering academic record (graduation, post-graduation), M.Phil./M.Tech./LLM/M.Ed. or equivalent, Ph.D., NET/JRF, research publications, teaching/post doctoral experience, and awards, as per the attached guidelines.
• The applicants securing less than 55 marks for Colleges will not be included in the list of shortlisted candidates, with relaxation of 5 marks for SC/ST/PwBD candidates as per guidelines.
• Experience rendered on Temporary/Adhoc/Contractual/Postdoctoral basis is counted only if salary/consolidated pay is not less than minimum basic pay as prescribed by UGC plus applicable DA; experience as guest faculty shall not be considered.

Salary / Stipend

• The concerned faculty would be paid Honorarium @ Rs. 1,500/- per lecture subject to a maximum of Rs. 50,000/- per month.

Selection Process

• Applications for Assistant Professor are screened and shortlisted based on a 100 point scale as per University of Delhi guidelines attached with the notification.
• The Screening Committee prepares a list of candidates in descending order of marks; applicants securing less than 55 marks (with relaxation for SC/ST/PwBD as specified) are not shortlisted.
• For each category, 40 candidates for the first vacancy and 20 for every additional vacancy are called for interview; all candidates with scores equal to the cutoff are also shortlisted.
• Direct recruitment of Assistant Professor after shortlisting is carried out in two stages: first, assessment by Presentation Assessment Committee; second, assessment by duly constituted Selection Committee as defined in Ordinance XVIII.
• The Presentation Assessment Committee evaluates shortlisted candidates and grades them as A (Excellent), B (Very Good), C (Good), D (Average), or E (Below Average); this assessment is indicative and not binding on the Selection Committee.

General Information / Instructions

• All candidates are required to carry their Resume along with self-attested copies of certificates and a recent photograph.
• The College reserves the right to change the nature and number of posts advertised or not to fill any or all the above posts without assigning any reason.
• No T.A/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
• Any addendum/corrigendum, if any, shall be posted only on the College website.
• Reporting time for the applicants is 30 minutes before the scheduled time.
• The entire onus of the content/authenticity of the information being uploaded in the form of application and its attachments shall rest with the applicant as per attached guidelines.
• The College shall not be responsible for any error/omission/commission/suppression of relevant information by the applicant while filling the application and uploading documents.
• If any credentials are found incorrect/inadmissible/forged/fabricated/falsified, candidature is liable to be cancelled at any stage and appropriate legal action may be initiated.
• The Colleges shall advertise vacancies likely to occur in succeeding six months as per guidelines.
• In case of any dispute with regard to screening of applications or recruitment process, the decision of the Competent Authority/College shall be final.
