Laxminarayan Innovation Technological University (LITU), Nagpur has invited applications for one Open category post of Finance & Accounts Officer at pay Level S-29 (Rs.1,31,100 – 2,16,600). The application must be posted to the Registrar at Bharat Nagar, Amravati Road, Nagpur-440033 and must reach by 5:00 p.m. on 1 December 2026. Applications received by email, fax or any other digital mode are not entertained.

• Form: the prescribed application form is attached to the notice and placed on the University website.
• Email: applications received by email, fax or any other digital mode are not entertained.

The payment receipt must be attached to the application form. The notice prints these bank details: Indian Overseas Bank, Branch Pande Layout, Nagpur, Account No. 242101029082023, IFSC Code IOBA0002421. The application form calls the fee non-refundable and has a section for the transaction ID, date and amount.

Posts, Eligibility and Pay

• Qualification and experience: Chartered Accountant or a Cost Accountant, with professional experience of not less than 5 years.
• Age: not less than 45 years on the date of application. The age column of the application form asks for age as on 30 November 2026. No upper age limit and no age relaxation are printed in the notice.
• Language: proficiency in the Marathi language is essential.
• Reserved category candidates domiciled outside the State of Maharashtra are treated as OPEN category candidates.
• Qualifications, experience, age and all other eligibility conditions must be fulfilled as on the last date for making the application.
• Pay: besides the pay, the post carries other usual allowances and benefits as admissible under state government rules in force from time to time.

The eligibility criteria and pay scale are as prescribed in the Laxminarayan Innovation Technological University Act, read with Maharashtra State Government (Department of Higher & Technical Education) Resolution No. Sankirn – 1123/Pr. Kr. 150/Vishi-1, dated 10 July 2025.

Nature of appointment

• The appointment is for a term of five years OR till the officer attains the age of superannuation, whichever is earlier.
• A defined contribution pension scheme, under the Government Resolution dated 31 October 2005, applies to government servants recruited on or after 1 November 2005, and the notice says the same applies to employees of this University.

Enclosures

• Duly completed application form, with a passport-size colour photograph pasted (not stapled or pinned) in the space at the top right, attested by the applicant, in at least two sets of the application forms.
• Self-attested copies of certificates/testimonials in TEN SETS. The enclosure serial number must be written in the respective column of the form, and information in a certificate is not considered unless it is claimed in the form.
• Payment receipt of the registration fee.
• Bio-data.
• Duly filled "Proforma-A", supplied with the application form. Failure to submit it makes the application liable for rejection.
• Declaration-II of the application form, on the small family rule (Maharashtra Notification No. SRV.2000/CR/(17/2000) XII, dated 28 March 2005).
• Self-attested copies of the Caste certificate, Caste Validity certificate and Non-creamy layer certificate, wherever applicable.
• For in-service candidates: the form signed and forwarded by the present employer (Endorsement by the Employer is part of the form).

The application form also asks for details of two referees, professional experience, academic distinctions, memberships of professional bodies and competence in computer applications.

Selection Process

The appointment is based on the recommendation of a selection committee constituted as per the LITU Act (the Laxminarayan Innovation Technological University Act 2023). The notice says the information in the form is used to decide the eligibility and suitability of candidates for being called for the interview. Candidates must produce all original documents for verification at the time of the interview. No correspondence is made with applicants who are not short-listed or not called for an interview. The interview date is not specified in the notice.

• An in-service candidate's form must be signed and forwarded by the present employer. If forwarding is delayed, the candidate may submit an advance copy with the registration fee receipt.
• If the employer's forwarded application does not reach the Registrar in time, the candidate must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the employer at the interview. Without it the candidate is not permitted to appear for the interview.
• Incomplete applications, or those not filled in correctly or not as per the instructions, are liable to be rejected.
• The University is not responsible for postal delay or for applications misplaced, lost or delayed by the postal department. The notice advises submitting well before the last date.
• Canvassing in any form throughout the selection process is a disqualification.
• Applicants are not entitled to any TA/DA for attending the interview.
• False information or false certificates make the applicant liable to legal action, and the interview or selection is cancelled immediately.
• No inquiry asking for advice on eligibility is entertained.
• The University is not responsible for postponement or cancellation of a scheduled interview for unforeseen or unavoidable reasons, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent court in Nagpur.
• The University reserves the right to fill or not to fill the post, or to modify, alter or cancel the advertisement.
