Eligibility Criteria
- Essential Qualification: B.E./ B. Tech. (Civil) (Full Time) or B. Plan. (Full Time).
- Preferable Qualification: Post-Graduate/ Master’s in Transport Planning/ Transport Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 05 years of post-qualification experience.
- Job Description (Experience Profile): Prepare and evaluate transport plans, mobility plans, and traffic impact assessments for RRTS corridors and station areas; assist in integrated multimodal planning including rail, metro, buses, feeder services, NMT and last-mile connectivity; coordinate with engineering, operations and civil teams for station access planning, parking, interchange facilities and traffic circulation; planning in rail-based public transport systems and multimodal transport studies; preparation of detailed project reports of rail-based transit systems (Metro, High Speed Rail, RRTS), comprehensive mobility plans, public transport demand forecasting including surveys, alignment studies, feeder system planning and multimodal integration.
- Required Pay Scale/CTC (for eligibility): Working in CDA scale: in pay scale Rs. 56100-177500 (L10)/ Rs. 53100-167800 (L9) or above, OR last 3 years of service in pay scale Rs. 47600-151100 (L8). Working in IDA scale: in pay scale Rs. 50000-160000 (E2) or above, OR last 3 years of service in pay scale Rs. 40000-140000 (E1). Working in Private Sector: minimum CTC of Rs. 11.10 lakhs per annum (to be verified through Form 16, ITR and last 12 months’ salary slips).
- Education Validity: Only Full Time Regular Courses will be considered and all essential qualifications must be from UGC recognized Indian University/ Deemed University or AICTE approved Autonomous Indian Institutions/ concerned statutory council, as applicable.
- Equivalence: Candidates claiming equivalence in qualification must produce an equivalence certificate; where Dual Specialization in Management is mentioned, one specialization must be function specific to the advertised post.
Salary/Stipend
- The post of Assistant Manager/ Transport Planner is in IDA pay scale Rs. 50000-160000 (E2).
- Emoluments include Basic Pay as applicable in the grade, Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) at applicable rates and Perks and Allowances under Cafeteria Approach.

Selection Process
- The selection process will comprise of Written Test/ Computer Based Test (CBT) with 80% weightage and Interview with 20% weightage.
- Merit list will be prepared based on combined score of Written Test/ CBT and Interview; minimum qualifying marks/percentage for suitability shall be 60%.
- Venue, date and time of Written Test/ CBT will be notified on the NCRTC website in advance; requests for change of date or venue will not be entertained.
- Candidates will appear for Written Test/ CBT at the allotted centre at their own risk and expense; no TA/DA shall be payable for attending Written Test/ CBT.
- Candidates will be shortlisted in order of merit in the respective category in the ratio of 1:5 for Interview.
- Document verification will be done before Interview and candidates must carry original certificates; failing this, they will not be allowed to attend the Interview.

- Only Indian Nationals above 18 years of age are eligible to apply.
