Candidates wondering about eligibility can note that each post carries specific educational and experience requirements. All qualifications must be from a recognized Board or University, and experience must be post-qualification.

Regular Posts

1. Lecturer in Rehabilitation Psychology (Level-10)

• Two-year M.Phil. in Clinical/Rehabilitation Psychology from a reputed institution (NIMHANS, CIP Ranchi, NIEPID, etc.) OR Ph.D. in Child/Experimental/Community/Educational Psychology
• Registered with MCI/RCI
• Minimum 2 years teaching/research experience
• Age Limit: 45 years

2. Stenographer (Level-4)

• SSLC/Matriculation or equivalent
• Typewriting (English) - 40 wpm; Shorthand (English) - 100 wpm
• Desirable: 3 years experience; Graduate with English
• Age Limit: 28 years

3. LDC/Typist (Level-2)

• 12th class or equivalent from a recognized Board/University
• Typing: 35 wpm (English) or 30 wpm (Hindi) on computer; OR 30 wpm (English) or 25 wpm (Hindi) on manual typewriter
• Age Limit: 27 years

4. Physiotherapy Assistant (Level-2)

• Bachelor of Physiotherapy from a recognized college/university
• 1 year experience in the field of Disability Rehabilitation
• Age Limit: 35 years

Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India norms for SC/ST/OBC/PH/Ex-Servicemen categories for regular posts.

Contractual Posts - Key Qualifications

• Assistant Professor in Pediatrics: MD in Pediatrics + 4 years teaching/research experience (Max Age: 56 years)
• Assistant Professor (PMR): MBBS + PG Degree/Diploma in PMR/Pediatrics (MCI/RCI recognised) + 2 years teaching/research (Max Age: 56 years)
• Assistant Professor (Speech): PG Degree in Speech and Hearing (RCI recognised) + 5 years experience (Max Age: 56 years)
• Assistant Professor (Clinical Psychology): M.Phil. in Clinical/Rehabilitation Psychology (RCI recognised) + 5 years experience (Max Age: 56 years)
• Lecturer (Occupational Therapy): Master's in Occupational Therapy + 3 years experience (Max Age: 56 years)

NIEPID Recruitment 2026 - Application Fee

The fee must be submitted as a non-refundable Demand Draft drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favour of "Director, NIEPID, Secunderabad". Candidates must write their name and the post applied for on the back of the DD. Applications without the required DD will not be considered.

Candidates applying for more than one post must submit separate application forms and separate DDs for each post.

NIEPID follows a structured selection process depending on post level and category.

For Regular Group 'A' Posts (e.g., Lecturer in Rehabilitation Psychology):

1. Screening of applications by a duly constituted Screening Committee
2. Shortlisting (minimum 1:5 ratio per vacancy)
3. Written Examination (if more than 20 applications received)

For Regular Group 'B' & 'C' Posts (Stenographer, LDC/Typist, Physiotherapy Assistant):

NIEPID Recruitment 2026 - Salary / Pay Scale

Regular Posts

Candidates selected for regular posts will be governed by the New Pension Scheme (NPS) introduced by the Government of India w.e.f. 01.01.2004.

Contractual Posts

Fixed consolidated monthly remuneration is paid as per the contract. No additional allowances are admissible for contractual positions.

NIEPID Recruitment 2026 - Guest Faculty / Staff - Walk-in Interviews

NIEPID also empanelled guest faculty/staff on a session-wise honorarium basis through walk-in interviews held across multiple centres from 23 June to 06 July 2026.

Honorarium Rates

• Up to 4 sessions per working day (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
• Engagement period: 6 months, extendable for a further 6 months
• Application fee for walk-in: ₹200/- (waived for SC/ST/PH/Women)
• Registration: 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM on the respective date

4. Prepare a Demand Draft of ₹500/- (if applicable) in favour of Director, NIEPID, Secunderabad.

NIEPID Recruitment 2026 - Troubleshooting / Common Mistakes to Avoid

These are errors that commonly lead to rejection of applications - not mentioned in the official notification but critical to know:

1. Wrong DD payee name: Ensure the Demand Draft is drawn in favour of "Director, NIEPID, Secunderabad" - not NIEPID alone or any other variation.
2. Missing post name on DD: Always write your name and post applied for on the reverse of the DD before submitting.
3. Single application for multiple posts: Each post requires a separate application form and a separate DD. Combining them in one application is a common rejection reason.
4. Unmarked envelope: The envelope must be superscribed with the post name, serial number, and type (Regular/Contract/CDEIC). Plain envelopes are often misrouted.
5. OBC Non-Creamy Layer certificate from State Government: NIEPID requires NCL certificates valid for Central Government appointment - State-issued certificates may not be accepted.
6. Experience counted before qualifying degree: Experience is reckoned only from the date of acquiring the minimum essential qualification. Earlier experience will not be counted.
7. Omitting RCI/MCI registration: Posts requiring RCI/MCI registration must have a valid certificate as of the last date. Expired registrations are a common rejection trigger.
8. Applying through proper channel: Candidates currently serving in Government/PSU/Autonomous Bodies must route their applications through proper channel - direct applications may be rejected.
9. Incorrect category claim: OBC candidates in the Creamy Layer must apply as General/UR. Incorrect category claims may lead to disqualification even after selection.
