Eligibility Criteria
- Essential Qualification for Project Research Scientist - II (Non-medical): First class Post Graduate degree including the integrated PG degrees, with Three years of experience OR PhD in Neurochemistry/Biochemistry/ Medical Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Human Genetics/Biomedical Genetics/ Life Sciences from a recognized board/institute.
- Desirable Experience for Project Research Scientist - II (Non-medical): i) Experience in cell culture techniques, Western blotting, Transmission electron microscope, quantitative PCR and Next Generation Sequencing.
ii) Experience in working with the statistical software like SPSS, GraphPad Prism, R and bioinformatics tools for analyzing NGS data. - Essential Qualification for Project Technical Support-III: Three Years Graduate degree in relevant subject (Biochemistry/Medical Biochemistry/ Human genetics/Biotechnology/Life Sciences) + three Years post qualification experience.
OR
Post Graduate in Biochemistry/Medical Biochemistry/ Human Genetics/ Applied Genetics/Biotechnology/Life Sciences / related field from recognized board/Institute. - Desirable Experience for Project Technical Support-III: i) Experience in PBMC isolation, RNA isolation and PCR.
iii) Knowledge of Computer applications like Microsoft excel
Salary/ Stipend
- Project Research Scientist - II (Non-medical): Rs. 67,000/- + 30% HRA per month.
- Project Technical Support-III: Rs. 28,000/- + 30% HRA per month.
Age Limit
- Project Research Scientist - II (Non-medical): 40 years
- Project Technical Support-III: 35 years

General Information/ Instructions
- NOC from the Principal Investigator if working in projects (Extramural/Intramural) in NIMHANS
- The candidates are required to register their names half an hour before the commencement of the written/skill test.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written/skill test.
