College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, OUAT, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, has invited applications for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under Advt No. 05/CCRH/Biochem. Selection is through a walk-in interview on 26 November 2026.

The post is for Department of Veterinary Biochemistry, College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, OUAT, Bhubaneswar. Qualification required: Post Graduate degree (M.Sc) in Basic/Life Science, preferably Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Zoology/Microbiology/Bioinformatics, with minimum 55% marks, or M.V.Sc with specialization in Animal Biochemistry/Animal Biotechnology/Veterinary Microbiology/Animal Physiology. Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification: Post Graduate degree (M.Sc) in Basic/Life Science preferably in Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Zoology/Microbiology/Bioinformatics with minimum 55% marks; Master in Veterinary Science (M.V.Sc) with specialization in Animal Biochemistry/Animal Biotechnology/Veterinary Microbiology/Animal Physiology
• Age limit: Maximum 35 years (as on the date of interview)

Other conditions:

• No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.

Desirable:

• NET/GATE/CSIR-UGC qualified candidates will be given preference
• Knowledge of basic molecular and analytical techniques, cell culture, gene and protein expression, and cancer biology
• Knowledge of basic computer operation

Pay and Terms of Engagement

• Three years or up to completion of project, whichever is earlier.
• Initially for 06 months, likely to be extended subject to satisfactory performance and/or co-terminus with project tenure.
• Engagement is contractual, purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
• No claim for any form of regular appointment under OUAT or Government.
• Engagement may be terminated at any time without notice or assigning any reason.
• Candidates may leave by giving one-month notice to the PI.

How to Apply for OUAT Recruitment 2026

1. Fill in the application in the Annexure-I format and sign it.
2. Report at the venue on 26-11-2026 by 2 PM for verification of documents.
3. Submit the application at the time of interview with self-attested testimonials, age proof and a passport size photograph.
4. Bring all original certificates and experience certificates; without them the candidate will not be allowed to appear.
5. Attend the walk-in interview at 02.30 PM in the Conference Hall of the college.

• Any change to the schedule will be notified on the OUAT website, www.ouat.ac.in.
• No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.
• Concealing facts or canvassing in any form leads to disqualification or termination even after appointment.
• Failure to maintain discipline or official protocol, or to perform assigned duties, makes the candidate liable to termination.
