Eligibility Criteria
- Essential Qualification: B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering + M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- Desirable Qualification: Masters in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on Machine Design, Design of Structures and Computational Analysis.
- Desirable Experience: (i) Computer-aided design and modeling of structures (ii) Numerical modeling of structures using ANSYS (iii) Design of jigs and fixtures.
Salary/Stipend
- Monthly emoluments: Rs.25,000/- + 20% HRA.
Age Limit
- Maximum age limit: 35 years.

Selection Process
- Applications will be screened and eligible candidates will be called for an Interview at the Biomedical Technology Wing of the Institute at Poojappura, Thiruvananthapuram – 695 012.
- Depending on the number of candidates, a written test of a qualifying nature may be conducted for initial screening and only qualified candidates will be called for interview.
- Marks obtained in the written test, if conducted, will not be counted for final ranking.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

- For DST–TRC funded Project entitled “Development of high-strength Ti6A14V castings for orthopaedic implants” P.8221.
- Duration of the project position: For a period up to 31.03.2026.
- Eligible candidates are required to upload scanned copies of certificates to prove age, qualifications, experience and a valid caste certificate (for SC candidates) / non-creamy layer certificate (for OBC candidates) in the prescribed format applicable for employment in Central Govt. Institutions issued by a Revenue Officer not below the rank of a Tahsildar.
- Experience wherever prescribed means experience gained after acquiring the prescribed essential qualification.
