Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualification:

• B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering + M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university

Desirable Qualification:

• Masters in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on Machine Design, Design of Structures and Computational Analysis

2. Experience

Desirable Experience:

• Computer-aided design and modeling of structures
• Numerical modeling of structures using ANSYS
• Design of jigs and fixtures

Note: Experience wherever prescribed means experience gained AFTER acquiring the prescribed essential qualification.

3. Age Limit

The age limit for SCTIMST Senior Project Engineer Recruitment 2026 is:

• Maximum Age: 35 years (as on 01.01.2026)

Salary and Stipend

• Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 25,000/- + 20% HRA
• Total Monthly Salary: Rs. 30,000/- (Approximately)
• Duration: For a period upto 31.03.2026
• Project: DST—TRC funded Project entitled "Development of high-strength Ti6A14V castings for orthopaedic implants" P.8221

Selection Process 

Candidates will be selected based on the following process:

• Walk-in Interview
• Depending on the number of candidates, a written test of a qualifying nature will be conducted for initial screening and only qualified candidates will be called for interview
• Note: Marks obtained in the written test, if conducted, will not be counted for final ranking

Job Description

Selected candidates will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Structural design and analysis of orthopedic implant assemblies
• Finite element modeling of orthopedic implant assemblies
• Design of jigs and fixtures for orthopedic implant testing
• Conducting implant testing and heat treatment experiments
• Mold flow analysis
• Drafting technical documents
