SVNIT Assistant Professor Grade-II Recruitment 2026 Vacancy Details 

Eligibility Criteria

• Essential educational qualifications, experience, credit points, and other terms and conditions shall be as per Schedule ‘E’ of the NIT Statute, published in the Gazette of India on 24th July 2017 and 12th June 2023 and as updated from time to time by Ministry of Education, Government of India.
• The minimum educational qualifications and desirable areas of specialization in the departments are given in Annexure II, which is available on the institute's website.
• The scrutiny of applications will be strictly based on the minimum essential qualifications with areas of specialization of PhD degree as mentioned in Annexure II.
• The candidate who does not meet the required specializations will be disqualified in the scrutiny process.
• Candidates applying under OBC (NCL)/EWS category have to produce a valid certificate issued on or after 1st April 2025.

Salary/Stipend

• Assistant Professor Grade-II positions are in Pay Level 10 of the 7th Central Pay Commission.

• Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT) Surat is established by the Government of India by an Act of Parliament, offering undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in engineering, technology, and the sciences.
• The institute invites applications for the post of Assistant Professor Grade-II (Pay Level 10) in the specified departments from Indian nationals fulfilling eligibility criteria, possessing excellent academic records, commitment to quality teaching and research, and a propensity for institutional development.
• The relevant qualifications, experience and other terms and conditions of selection are prescribed in Schedule ‘E’ of NITs Statutes amended 2017 and Gazette Notification dated 12th June 2023.
