Telangana Anganwadi Teacher & Helper Recruitment 2026 - Apply Online for 179 Posts in Nizamabad District

The Telangana Nizamabad Anganwadi Recruitment 2026 has been announced by the Department of Women Development, Child Welfare, Disabled & Senior Citizens to fill 179 vacancies for Anganwadi Teacher (AWT) and Anganwadi Helper (AWH) posts. The recruitment is being conducted for various ICDS projects in Nizamabad district. Eligible women candidates can apply online through the official WDCW Telangana website within the prescribed dates.

A total of 179 vacancies have been released, including 76 Anganwadi Teacher (AWT) posts and 103 Anganwadi Helper (AWH) posts. Most of the Helper vacancies are reserved for the ST category in Thanda and tribal hamlet areas. The vacancies are distributed across the ICDS projects of Armoor, Bheemgal, Bodhan, Dichpally, and Nizamabad.

For Anganwadi Teacher (AWT) posts, candidates must have passed Intermediate (12th Class) from a recognized board. For Anganwadi Helper (AWH) posts, Intermediate-qualified candidates will be given preference, and if eligible candidates are unavailable, 10th pass candidates may also be considered. Applicants should carefully verify the educational requirements before applying.

Candidates applying for the recruitment should be 18 to 35 years of age as on 01 July 2026. Applicants must satisfy the age criteria mentioned in the official notification. Any age relaxation, if applicable, will be provided according to the Telangana Government recruitment rules.

Selection is based on a 70-mark merit system prepared from the qualifying examination marks. Additional weightage is provided to widows, divorced or abandoned women, orphans, and persons with disabilities. Eligible candidates will also appear before the District Selection Committee Interview, which carries 10 marks.

The online application process starts on 08 July 2026 and closes on 23 July 2026. Document verification for shortlisted candidates will be conducted at the respective ICDS Project Offices from 27 July 2026 to 05 August 2026. Candidates should complete the application well before the last date.

Only eligible women candidates who satisfy the educational qualification, age limit, and domicile conditions can apply. Applicants must belong to the same Gram Panchayat in rural areas or the same Ward/Division in municipal areas where the concerned Anganwadi Centre is located. Candidates who do not meet the local residence requirement will not be considered.

Candidates need to visit the official WDCW Telangana website and complete the online registration process using a valid mobile number. After entering personal, educational, and residential details, applicants must submit the application online before 23 July 2026. They should also attend document verification with original certificates on the scheduled dates.

Applicants should keep their educational certificates, proof of age, residence certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), and other supporting documents ready while applying. Original documents must be produced during the document verification process at the concerned ICDS Project Office. Failure to produce valid documents may lead to rejection of candidature.
