TRAI Advisor Recruitment 2026 – Apply Offline

Posts, Eligibility and Pay

Eligibility Criteria

Officers of the Central Government or State Governments or Union territory Administrations or autonomous bodies or statutory organisations or public sector undertakings or recognised universities or recognised research institutions must meet the following criteria:

• Holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or
• With four years of service rendered after appointment to the post on regular basis in level-13 in the pay matrix (Rs. 123100-215900) or equivalent, in the parent cadre or department; or
• With seventeen years of regular service in Group 'A' and have held a post in level-12 in the pay matrix (Rs. 78800-209200) or equivalent on regular basis for a period of not less than seven years.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree from a recognised university or institute, and fifteen years of experience in the field of telecommunications, industry, finance, accountancy, law, management, or consumer affairs. Note: Preference shall be given to candidates holding senior management positions.

Age Limit

The maximum age for appointment on deputation shall in no case exceed 58 years on the last date of receipt of applications in TRAI.

Selection Process
