Eligibility Criteria
Essential qualifications: B.Tech/ B.E. in Civil Engineering (minimum 60% marks) and M.Tech/ M.E. in Transportation Engineering, with a good academic background (minimum 60% marks) or at least two years of research experience in Transportation Engineering with a research publication in SCI/Scopus-indexed journal. A minimum first class (60% marks) is required.
Desirable: Preference will be given to the candidates who have in-depth knowledge of pedestrian safety, signal design, simulation in VISSIM, statistical analysis, and coding in Python or C++.
Salary/Stipend
Rs. 42,000/- per consolidated month for the two years duration of the project.
Age Limit
Maximum Age: 32 years
The upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years in case of candidates belonging to the scheduled castes/tribes/OBC, women, and physically handicapped candidates.

Selection Process
Candidates will be shortlisted based on their academic performance/professional/research experience.
Only short-listed candidates will be intimated by email and will have to appear for an interview.
No correspondence whatsoever will be entertained from candidates regarding reasons for not being called for an interview, conduct and the result of the interview.
No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.
The decision of the Director, VNIT Nagpur will be final in all respects.
General Information/Instructions
Mere fulfilment of qualifications/experience requirements does not entitle a candidate to be called for the interview.
Original documents of Photo ID/age proof/certificates/degrees/mark sheets and other testimonials must be presented at the time of the interview.
The post is purely temporary in nature. The post shall be a co-terminus with the duration and requirements of the project.
The initial appointment is for the period of six months, which can be extended up to 02 years solely based on satisfactory performance.
After joining the service of the Institute, the person will have to abide by the Rules, Regulations, Ordinances, Statutes, and Acts of the Institute applicable from time to time.
