CRE-5 is a unified, single-window recruitment platform that allows eligible candidates to apply once and be considered for similar posts across multiple participating institutes. The Examination Section, AIIMS New Delhi acts solely as the examination-conducting body; recruitment rules, service conditions, and final appointment decisions rest entirely with each participating institute independently.

Participating organizations are autonomous bodies or subordinate offices under the Government of India, functioning independently from AIIMS New Delhi. AIIMS CRE-5 Recruitment 2026 - Age Limit

Age limits are post-specific and measured as of the closing date of online registration, i.e., 30 June 2026. Most Group B posts cap at age 30 years and Group C posts cap between 18–30 years, though higher caps apply to some technical and supervisory roles (up to 35 or 40 years). The application fee is charged per group applied. Candidates applying to multiple groups must pay separately for each group.

Payment can be made via Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking. The examination fee is non-refundable under any circumstances, even if the application is rejected for ineligibility. However, application fees paid by SC/ST candidates who appear in the examination will be refunded to the source account after declaration of results.

Each section is sequential and time-locked - once a section closes, candidates cannot return to it. Candidates must attempt all possible questions within the active section's time window.

Medium of Examination

Posts where the essential qualification is 10th/12th will be examined in bilingual (English and Hindi) medium. Posts requiring bachelor's or higher qualifications, or posts involving specific technical domain knowledge, will be examined in English only.

Tie-Breaking Rules

In case of equal marks, ties are resolved in this order: (i) higher marks in the domain-specific section; (ii) fewer wrong answers/negative marks; (iii) older date of birth; (iv) alphabetical order of name, then father's name, then mother's name.

Skill Test

For selected post groups, a Skill Test is conducted as Stage II for candidates who qualify the CBT. The skill test is qualifying in nature. The final merit list is prepared based on CBT performance, but only among those who pass the skill test for the relevant post.

Posts requiring skill tests include groups such as Junior Administrative Assistant (typing test), Stenographer (stenography test), Programmer (computer skill test), Hindi Translator (translation test), Assistant Security Officer (PST), and Fire Technician (PET & PST). See Annexure-V of the DRA for complete scheme details.

If a candidate qualifies the CBT but fails the skill test, they remain eligible only for posts within the same group that do not require a skill test.

AIIMS CRE-5 Recruitment 2026 - Selection Process

CRE-5 follows a multi-stage recruitment process. Each stage is mandatory for progression to the next.

Stage 1 - Online Application: Candidates register on www.aiimsexams.ac.in and submit applications by 30 June 2026.

Stage 2 - Application Acceptance: Application status published on 9 July 2026.

Stage 3 - Computer Based Test (CBT): Tentatively 25–27 July 2026 at examination centres across major states/UTs of India.

Stage 4 - Skill Test (where applicable): Conducted after CBT for qualifying candidates in applicable groups. Venue: preferably Delhi/NCR. Date to be notified.

Stage 5 - Choice & Preference: Qualified candidates are invited to exercise institute choices and indicate order of preference. Candidates who fail to exercise choices within the given period will not be considered for any institute.

Stage 6 - Seat Allocation: Allocation is made in order of merit based on choices exercised and eligibility at each participating institute.

Stage 7 - Document Verification: Original certificates verified by the respective AIIMS/Institute on the date notified by them.

Stage 8 - Joining: Selected candidates must report on the date specified in the result/allocation notice. Failure to report will lead to mandatory cancellation of candidature for CRE.

AIIMS CRE-5 Recruitment 2026 - How to Apply for AIIMS CRE-5 2026

Applications can only be submitted through the Online Registration Terminal (OTR) at www.aiimsexams.ac.in. Physical documents must not be sent; no correspondence regarding correction in registration will be entertained.

  2. Register through the OTR (One-Time Registration) portal if you have not already done so.
  3. Log in and select the CRE-5 application link.

The CBT consists of 100 MCQs of 400 marks to be completed in 90 minutes, divided into five sections of 20 questions each. There is a negative marking of 1/4 mark for each wrong answer. The paper covers 20 questions on General Knowledge, Aptitude & Computer, and 80 domain-specific questions.

Q8. Is there any relaxation for PwBD candidates in age and qualifying marks?

Yes. PwBD candidates with benchmark disability (minimum 40%) receive an age relaxation of 10 years irrespective of their category. The qualifying marks for PwBD candidates are 30%, regardless of which category they belong to. Scribes and compensatory time are also available as per applicable government rules.
