Candidates must have passed at least Class-VIII and be 18 to 42 years old.

1. Fill all columns of the Annexure-A form carefully in your own handwriting: name in block letters, father's or husband's name, gender, marital status, date of birth, age as on 04.11.2026, permanent and present address, mobile number and e-mail ID (if any), religion, nationality, experience (if any) and the list of documents attached.
2. Affix a self-attested recent passport-size photograph in the box on the form, and sign the declaration with place and date.
3. Attach self-attested copies of the relevant certificates and the documents listed under Enclosures below.
4. Superscribe the envelope: "Application for Engagement on Daily Wage Basis".
5. Send the envelope by Speed Post only (not by any other mode) to: The Registrar, Civil Courts, Balangir (Patnagarh Road), P.O. / Dist. - Balangir, PIN - 767001, Odisha.
6. The application must reach the office on or before 18 November 2026 (by 5:00 P.M.). Incomplete applications or those received after the last date and time will be summarily rejected.

Posts, Eligibility and Pay

All 30 engagements are for Group-D services on a daily-wage, purely temporary basis. A candidate, in order to be eligible, must:

• be a citizen of India;
• have passed at least Class-VIII examination conducted by any recognised educational institution;
• be not below 18 years and not above 42 years of age as on the date of this advertisement (4 November 2026);
• be able to speak, read and write Odia and also have elementary knowledge in English;
• be of good character, sound health, "good physique" and "free from organic defect or bodily infirmity";
• not have more than one spouse living, if married;
• not have any past criminal antecedent or record.

Age relaxation is not specified in the notice.

Preference

Candidates having proficiency in Cooking (unskilled), Driving (unskilled) and House Chores, and who may have knowledge in Electric work (unskilled) and Plumbing work (unskilled), shall be given preference, subject to overall merit.

Pay

Payment will be the minimum wages of unskilled labour as fixed by the Government of Odisha from time to time as per the Government Rules/Notifications. Payment shall be made on the basis of actual attendance. No other allowances shall be admissible.

Terms of Engagement

• The engagement is purely temporary and on daily-wage basis.
• It shall not confer any right for regular appointment, regularisation or absorption in service.
• The person engaged may be disengaged at any point of time without any prior notice.
• Place of posting may be at Headquarters or any outlying station of the Judgeship of Balangir, as per requirement and at the discretion of the Authority.

• Duly filled-in application form in the prescribed format
• Self-attested photocopy of the educational certificate(s)
• Self-attested photocopy of Voter ID Card / Aadhaar Card or any other Government-issued identity proof
• Two recent passport-size colour photographs
• Two self-addressed envelopes affixing postage stamp worth Rs.30/- each
• An undertaking that he/she shall not claim regular appointment in future
• An undertaking that there is no criminal case pending against him or her and that he or she has not been convicted in any case
• Two character certificates from any Gazetted Officers

Selection Process

Selection shall be made through a Walk-in Interview of the eligible candidates whose applications have been received within the prescribed period and found complete in all respects. The date, time and venue of the interview will be notified later on the District Court website and on the notice boards of the District Court. Preference for cooking, driving, house chores, electric and plumbing skills applies subject to overall merit. The decision of the Authority regarding shortlisting and selection shall be final and binding, and no correspondence in this regard shall be entertained. No TA/DA will be paid to applicants for appearing in the interview.
