The number of vacancies is tentative and may increase or decrease depending on the requirements of the Client/Principal Employer. BECIL also reserves the right not to fill any or all of the advertised vacancies.

BECIL Social Media Analyst Eligibility 2026

Age Limit

The age limit is preferably up to 35 years, with relaxation as per applicable norms. Age is counted as on the publishing date of the advertisement.

Mandatory Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Digital Marketing, Marketing, Communications, Information Technology, Computer Applications, or any other recognized graduate degree from a recognized University/Institute.

Mandatory Experience and Skills

• Minimum 2-3 years of post-qualification experience in social media management and digital marketing.
• Experience in managing official social media platforms such as Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and other digital channels.
• Experience in creating and scheduling social media content, campaign planning and audience engagement.
• Knowledge of social media analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Analytics, etc.) and preparing performance reports.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi.

Preferred and Desirable

• Preference may be given to candidates with a Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Digital Marketing, Mass Communication, Advertising, or Social Media Management.
• Experience in graphic design/video editing tools such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, or similar software will be preferred.
• Knowledge of SEO, SEM, social media trends and digital advertising will be an added advantage.
• Desirable: experience of handling social media accounts for Government Departments, PSUs, Autonomous Bodies, or reputed organizations.
• Desirable: certification in Digital Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Google Analytics, Meta Blueprint, or equivalent.

Other Conditions

• Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
• Preference may be given to local candidates and/or candidates with relevant experience in the same or similar department, subject to the Client's requirements.
• Candidates previously engaged by BECIL and/or the Client are not eligible if their services were terminated, discontinued or not renewed because of disciplinary action, misconduct, unsatisfactory performance or violation of contractual terms.

Selection Process

1. Applications are scrutinized and shortlisted against the prescribed eligibility criteria.
2. BECIL may adopt suitable shortlisting criteria, including higher qualifications, greater relevant experience or any other criteria it considers appropriate.
3. The list of shortlisted candidates is forwarded to the Client/Principal Employer.
4. The Client carries out further selection, which may include an interview, assessment, skill test or any other evaluation method it decides.
5. Candidates selected by the Client are informed of their selection and the next formalities by email and/or telephone.

Meeting the qualification and experience requirements does not by itself entitle a candidate to be called for any stage. Preference may be given for higher qualifications, superior academic credentials, additional relevant experience or other desirable criteria set by the Client.

BECIL has no obligation to publish interim results, stage-wise shortlists or marks. Only the final result, listing the candidates selected by the Client, will appear on the BECIL website.

Service Conditions

• The engagement is purely on contract basis, with deployment in the Ministry of Mines, Government of India.
• Candidature stays provisional at all stages, subject to verification of original documents on age, qualification, experience, category and other eligibility conditions.
• If false information or ineligibility comes to light after engagement, the services may be terminated forthwith and legal action may also be initiated.
• Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at New Delhi.
