Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification (General Requirement): B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc Engineering (4 years course) from recognised Institute/University/College in the following Engineering disciplines – Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
• Approval of Institution: Candidates should have qualified from AICTE/UGC approved college/Institute or recognized University, and should have secured Pass class in the respective discipline.
• Degree & Marks Proof: Candidates have to compulsorily attach Provisional/Final Degree Certificate as proof of completion of Degree with indication of Class and percentage of marks. Where CGPA/DGPA/OGPA/letter grade is followed, proof of percentage issued by University/Institution/College and awarded class must be submitted.
• Trainee Engineer-I – Qualification: B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc Engineering degree (4 years course) in Mechanical discipline with PASS Class.
• Trainee Engineer-I – Experience: 0–1 year industrial experience as on 01.12.2025.
• Project Engineer-I – Qualification: B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc Engineering degree (4 years course) in relevant discipline with PASS Class.
• Project Engineer-I – Experience: Minimum 02 years of relevant post-qualification industrial work experience (full time) as on 01.12.2025.
• Relevant Experience Clarification: Only relevant post-qualification industrial experience will be considered. Academic/Teaching/Research work, experience in non-profit organizations, internships/project work placements as part of academic curriculum and work experience prior to completion of B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg) will not be considered as relevant post qualification experience.
• Experience Documentation: Candidates should possess experience certificates/documents issued by previous and present employer clearly indicating period of employment and post held; work experience indicated without supporting documents will not be considered and is liable to be rejected/cancelled.

Salary/Stipend

• Trainee Engineer-I – Consolidated Remuneration: Rs.30,000/- per month.
• Trainee Engineer-I – Additional Benefits: Rs.12,000/- per year towards insurance premium, attire allowance, stitching charges, footwear allowance, etc.
• Trainee Engineer-I – Tenure: Initially engaged for a period of two years which may be extended for one more year based on project requirement and individual’s performance, totaling a maximum of three years. Alternatively, Trainee Engineer-II may be advanced to Project Engineer-I subject to performance assessment scores, discipline etc. (as structured in the remuneration table).
• Project Engineer-I – Consolidated Remuneration: 1st year – Rs.40,000/- per month; 2nd year – Rs.45,000/- per month; 3rd year – Rs.50,000/- per month; 4th year – Rs.55,000/- per month.
• Project Engineer-I – Additional Benefits: Rs.12,000/- per year towards insurance premium, attire allowance, stitching charges, footwear allowance, etc.
• Project Engineer-I – Retention Bonus: Project Engineer-I who complete overall tenure of 4 years will be entitled for retention bonus of Rs.25,000/- for every completed year, payable at the end of 4 years (total Rs.1,00,000/-).

Age Limit (as on 01-12-2025)

• Trainee Engineer-I: The upper age limit should not be more than 28 years for General & EWS candidates as on 01.12.2025.
• Project Engineer-I: The upper age limit should not be more than 32 years for General & EWS candidates as on 01.12.2025.
• OBC Relaxation: Upper age limit relaxable by 03 years for OBC candidates (for Trainee Engineer posts as specified).
• ST Relaxation: Upper age limit relaxable by 05 years for ST candidates (for Trainee Engineer posts as specified).
• PWD Relaxation: Candidates belonging to PwBD category having 40% disability or more will get 10 years relaxation in addition to the relaxation applicable to respective categories.
• Documents for Age: SSLC/SSC/ISC mark card and any other valid document will be considered as proof of date of birth; applications not meeting prescribed age criteria will be rejected/cancelled without prior intimation.
• Crucial Date: Crucial date for post qualification experience, age or any other purpose will be treated as 01.12.2025.

Application Fee

• Mode of Payment: Application fee should be remitted through SBI Collect (online). Candidates have to follow the SBI Collect process and take print of the payment receipt and attach it with the application form.
• Fee Details in Application: General/EWS/OBC candidates must enter the “SBI Collect reference No.” generated after payment in the application form and ensure the same mobile number and email ID are used in SBI Collect as in the application form.
• Non-refundable: Candidates must read all instructions and eligibility criteria carefully before remitting application fee; fee once paid will not be refunded.

Selection Process

• Eligibility Check: Candidate should meet the eligibility criteria as specified in the advertisement.
• Trainee Engineer-I – Selection: Selection will be through Written Test of 100 marks with negative marking of ¼ mark for each wrong response.
• Project Engineer-I – Selection: Selection will be through Written Test followed by Interview. Based on the Written Test score, candidates will be shortlisted for interview in the order of merit in the ratio of 1:5.
• Tie-Breaking: In case of tie in marks, the overall percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying degree shall be considered to determine merit.
• Centre for Selection Process: Selection process will be done at Navi Mumbai; no request for change of examination centre/venue will be entertained after final submission of online application form. BEL Management reserves the right to cancel or add any centre depending upon response and administrative feasibility.
• Shortlisting & Final Selection Publication: Names of candidates shortlisted for written test and final selection will be notified on the company’s website.
• Minimum Qualifying Marks: For General/EWS/OBC-NCL – 35% in written test and 35% in interview. For SC/ST/PwBD – 30% in written test and 30% in interview. Relaxation in minimum qualifying marks will be provided subject to vacancy in respective category in that particular discipline.

General Information/Instructions

• BEL Navi Mumbai will conduct pre-registered walk-in selections for the notified posts on temporary basis; candidates must be willing to work in any location as decided by BEL Management and should be ready to travel frequently to various locations.
• Only Indian nationals can apply for the posts.
• The number of posts indicated may vary based on the actual requirement at the time of selection; application forms incomplete, not in prescribed format, or without required enclosures will be summarily rejected without assigning any reason and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
• Candidates are required to possess at least one valid E-mail ID, to be kept active for at least one year; all correspondence shall be done through email only and BEL will not be responsible for bouncing/non-receipt of e-mails.
• Applications without fee payment (except for SC/ST/PwBD) will be rejected/cancelled without any prior intimation.
• All information submitted in the application will be verified with original documents at the time of document verification or at any stage; if any document/information is found false, incorrect or not conforming to eligibility criteria, candidature is liable to be rejected/cancelled at any stage including after joining.
• There will be no separate communication to candidates on their non-selection at any stage; decision of BEL in all matters regarding eligibility, stages of scrutiny, qualification and other norms will be final and binding.
• Relaxation and concession will be applicable to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PwBD as per Government directives.
• Selected candidates are required to be covered under medical insurance scheme for a sum of Rs.2 lakhs per annum for medical cover and Rs.5 lakhs for life cover and submit the same at the time of joining.
• BEL reserves the right to debar/disqualify any candidate at any stage of the selection process for any reason whatsoever and to change (cancel/modify/add) any of the criteria, method of selection and number of posts based on actual requirement without further notice.
• Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification.
• BEL has a robust and transparent recruitment process and does not demand or charge any fee or request for money deposits at any stage of the recruitment process other than the application fee mentioned; the company is not liable for any loss from fraudulent communications and reserves the right to take legal action including criminal action against such fraudsters.

• Candidates already working as Project Engineer-I in one of the Units of BEL (as on 01.12.2025) are not eligible to apply for the above posts. Candidates working as Trainee Engineers who have completed minimum one year (as on 01.12.2025) in BEL and fulfilling eligibility criteria can apply for Project Engineer-I, but must submit prior intimation to their respective SBU/Unit HR.
• Documents to be submitted at the time of Walk-in Selection:
  • Duly filled in application form.
  • Two recent passport size photographs.
  • Self-attested copy of SSLC/Matriculation Certificate (proof of age).
  • Self-attested copy of PUC/12th Class/Diploma marks card.
  • Self-attested copies of Degree marks cards for all semesters/years.
  • Self-attested copies of Provisional/Final Degree certificate(s).
  • Conversion formula certificate for conversion of CGPA to percentage, duly certified by University/Institution, wherever applicable.
  • Self-attested copy of Caste Certificate (for OBC-NCL/SC/ST as applicable for fee exemption/relaxation).
  • No Objection Certificate for candidates working in PSUs/Govt./Quasi-Govt. organizations at the time of document verification.
