Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification (Mandatory)
- First Class B.Tech Degree in any of the following:
- Computer Science & Engineering (CSE)
- Information Technology (IT)
- Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)
- Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE)
- OR First Class M.Tech / MCA in Computer Science
- OR First Class MSc (Computer Science)
- All qualifications must be from a recognized University/Institute
- Desirable: MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) / Red Hat Certification (will be an added advantage)
Experience Requirements (Mandatory)
- Minimum Total Experience: 5 years post-graduation working in IT infrastructure, system administration, or related technical roles
- UNIX/Linux Experience (Mandatory): Minimum 2 years of hands-on working experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting UNIX/Linux based environments
- Additional Required Experience:
- Solid experience in administration and performance tuning of application stacks
- Hands-on experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, VirtualBox)
- Experience with network monitoring systems
- Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP protocols)
- Solid experience with tape library backup systems
- Experience in handling application tools for database maintenance and monitoring
- Experience with PostgreSQL (mandatory) and SQL servers/databases
- Experience in installing and upgrading operating systems

Job Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor all installed systems and IT infrastructure ensuring optimal performance
- Install, configure, test, and maintain Linux-based operating systems, application software, and system management tools
- Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability to end users
- Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks and identify possible solutions
- Work with developers and system administrators to implement performance fixes and optimizations
- Maintain comprehensive security, backup, and redundancy strategies for critical systems
- Provide first and second level technical support to end users and departments
- Liaise with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) vendors, TSP/ISP providers, and other IT personnel for issue resolution
- Troubleshoot and resolve LAN/WAN network issues affecting connectivity and performance
- Handle application deployment and ongoing monitoring in production environments
- Perform performance tuning of servers and databases to ensure high availability and reliability
- Hands-on experience in installing and upgrading operating systems and critical software
- Manage SQL servers and databases (PostgreSQL mandatory) with expertise in maintenance and monitoring
- Handle application tools for database maintenance and monitoring during absence of Database Administrator
- Manage tape library backup systems and ensure data protection strategies are implemented effectively
